Oh and i could have sworn they wanted 259.00 for it but when i picked it up price tag was 229.00. What a nice surprise lol. So i bought an extra couple boxes of 25 acp.

Man! That's nice!
You might consider picking up a lottery ticket while your luck is serving you so well! :D
I love these old s/a pocket Berettas. My .22 short Minx is on the very short list of never, ever part with guns. Best casual, short range .22 plinker I've ever owned.
Schweet!
I had on in .22 short back... early 80's. Traded up (or so I thought) for a Model 70, which was .22LR

CBJ- ya i heard the 22 short models are the rarest. Im still looking for one of those. I used to have an astra cub in 22 short but it was very unreliable. I still regret selling it though...

ltxi- was it the difference in the minx models? Do they have a stainless slide
Minx was simply the model name for the .22 Short vs Jetfire for the .25acp. Blued carbon steel. Mine dates to mid-70's purchased new.

I've oft wondered how those performed as I been tempted to pick one up to pair with the.25ACP version I have. The 25 has been a splendid performer.

I always thought the 25 version might work better then the 22. Either way i wish i still had one, but it was my first gun and i was young and dumb. Havent seen one since...
The Beretta is the only small, originally .25acp based, pocket auto I've ever come across that would feed .22 rimfire anything reliably. Recalling how many rounds I have through my Minx is lost in mists of 35+ years of time but it's certainly somewhere in the thousands....and I've never had a failure to feed, nor a misfire. Not one, ever.

Went and shot it the other day. 50 fmj rounds and no malfunctions of any kind. I like the fact that the grip is a little longer then most tiny 25's. It makes it a little more comfortable to shoot. So far so good!
