Finally I decided to go black and it was not expensive:

1) IonBond in satin black (not paint but better) did the slide and rear small slide door at Springer Precision, Bend, Oregon - $73.0 out the door.
2) Trijicon Night sights - $80 plus shipping (you still have the option to keep the old rear and get a replacement front sight)

If I had to do it again I would go with IonBond for sure BUT with a laser. The Springer Precision service is flawless but it's a 6 week turnaround. Other than that, a nice looking piece I must say and it shoots better?? - :yo:

I've been procrastinating putting the KKote on my PM9j. I really should get to it now that the weather is favorable for such things.

Ugh. I'm gonna have to go black now on my P9 and my TP9, this might be the straw that broke the came's back. That looks awesome. Been debating sending mine to CCR refinishing for a cera-hide finish in matte black. I bought my P9 before DLC existed and there is no DLC for the TP9 model. I don't mind the stainless look, but the black just looks gooooood.

Chrish, I almost went with Cerakote paint finish, but I did not want paint on the inside of the slide. IonBond is a micro-finish and the stuff is like plating and very very hard material. They do coat inside out but it's in the microns so it does not add thickness like paint. also, it's lubricious kind like teflon coat feel. Anyhow, black is cool  chrome is not to distant ;)

I like it. Ever consider polishing the barrel hood, slide release and trigger to really make that black stand out?
