Should be required reading for gun grabbers

This article applies the same logic used by the anti gun crowd that wants to ban "assualt weapons" to cars. Should be required reading for brady-bunch. It makes some really good points. But the libs love their high performance vehicles, which kill more per year than guns. Of course many of us do too.

i dunno, i think the folks that want your guns are not necessarily driving high performance vehicles. they are the same ones pushing the gas mileage limits up on auto manufacturers, pushing little green cars, and trying to take your SUV.

but i agree, neat article. i can take it a step further against the gun control platform.

we should put governors on all vehicles limiting them to the top speed in your home state. if you travel abroad, you need to check in with the state you are traveling to, and they will determine how well you drive and if your state trained you well enough behind the well. if they did, then they'll let you drive in that state and will also increase/decrease the governor setting to meet their regs.

horsepower will be limited to only what is necessary to get your car up to highway speeds within the safe margin (set by the government). probably soemthing in the 10-15 second range.

I think you'd be surprised. Most of these putzes drive whatever they want, but expect you and I to drive the green cars. That's the way they want it. Ask Al Gore who let his big old gas guzzling SUV warm up for an eternity outside of his overly lit property one morning a few years ago while still preaching the gospel of global warming :der:

They're all hypocrits, and I''d wager many own guns themselves or will not sacrifice their own personal armed security. They are above the law.

Al Gore, jeez, flying around in his private jet, burning up more fuel in a single trip then most of us will in a lifetime. Preaching how WE need to cut back and save the planet, what a moron.
Many of the biggest mouths in the anti gun lobby, are the rich Hollywood/Music/Entertainment crowd, and have all types of high performance cars, or politicians with a fleet of high powered SUV's. I wonder what Mayor Bloomberg drives for pleasure, I'd bet next month's check it's not a Prius or Chevy Volt. Think of the lives saved if people were regulated by their cars to driving the speed limit.
