So I went back to the gun store like I said I was this past Monday to pick up my CM9, the weekend did go by fast : ) and I took it out shooting that evening. Im very happy with this pistol. It is brand new and was really tight. I shot about 200 rounds total. I had only one FTF as shown in the picture Ion about the 3rd or 4th mag as u can see the bullets emptying from the Remington box as I took the pics. I shot around 150 of the Remington 115g ball white green box and some military 124g ball headstamp "wcc" with the cross in the circle that is made by winchester and is +p...anyways after that FTF in the first 20rds it was smooth sailing after that. Although about 3 times the slide didnt stay back after the last round which is not a big deal to me. I can easily slingshot with no problems. It feeds and ejects good thats my main concern. In the pic with the 12g shell I set it up at 7 yards and loaded up a clip and was hitting within 5 inches of it and on the 4th round I hit it dead on. :)

sometimes a shooter gets tired and doesn't realize it. it being anew gun couldindeed be tight, but also new to you and ur excited about shooting jit and 200 rounds in one sitting with a cm9 as grerat asit is is still alot of rounds down range. A tired shooter, things change, grip, etc kand then other things happen.

One needs to take some breaks between shooting sessions expecialy with these smallass guns, as a good grip is a center part of a guns timing to. NOt sayin u did any of that but just be aware.

Failure to lock open will probalby be OK in a kfew more round sonce the recoil springs take their designed set. No doubt with hotter defense ammo this willnot be an issue either b ut some of the range ammo wqe buy as low in price thatit is, sometimes lacks in some guns. Kahrs recoil springs are stou8t, extremely stout compared to others, so good rounds tend to produce great results. Now IMO if it does excellent with defense ammo, then a few failures tolock open at the range with range fodder is no big deal. but I alwso think in time this will solve itself to. Mopst report back that way to.

Nice gun, nice report.

That's a lot of rounds in one sitting for that little powerhouse! How did your hands fare? I'm sure once you get more rounds down range and broke-in a bit more you'll have no issues. Congrats...

Thanks all. Well my middle finger started to get a little blister from the semi sharp grip at the front. I think im going to put a piece of inner tube on the handle it works pretty good. Yea Im feeling pretty confident w/ this pistol so far.

my cm9 has been trouble free for about 300rds. honestly, i think its a lot easier on the shooting hand than my s&w 642 or glock 27.

Yeah, I found the texturing of the grip was like coarse sandpaper after a while. I put some bicycle innertube on the grip and it has worked perfectly. It softens the abrasiveness.

IMO, the inner tube is ugly. Let me suggest the Qwik-Grip 3 (http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=1150&CAT=84) at Lone Wolf. They don't have finger grooves or palm swells, and they only add minimally to the width. Personally, I love the sure grip that the rubber gives, the perfect fit and appearance, and the superb comfort that they give. If you just want to tame the cheese graters on the front and back of the gripframe, use two carefully sized strips of hockey tape. I found that the tape I got matches the grip color so well that you can't see it there. You can still see the little bumps, but they don't bite anymore. This way, you can keep the grips as thin as Kahr made them.
