I found a new one of these at a LGS for $489.00 out the door...It looks very nice and has real pretty color case hardening on the frame and seems tight and well made...Does anyone know the quality of these Italian made clones of a Colt SA 1873 in .45 Colt and does that seem to be a decent price for this revolver...
I had a similar SA with the Cimarron brand and it was a sweet shooter and pretty accurate considering the groove rear and thin blade front sight but I let it go in a trade for my M&P .40 and now I got the wants for another single action... What do ya'll think about a Uberti...As always, thanks to all...
PS to Greg, thats a real pretty Ruger New Vaquero from your post and it's just begging for a set of beautiful Walnut or Stag Bawanni grips, dont you think?......;)

I have the Uberti in 45 Colt with the Birds Head handle. It's my favorite revolver. Never had an issue with it other than I loaded a bunch of lead bullets and right after that my range no longer allows lead bullets.
It actually feels better in my hand than my Birds Head Vaquero. A tad lighter.
It does operate like an old Colt, have to do the half cock, to rotate and load and leave on an empty chamber but I like that too.
I can't say on the price, had mine quite awhile and haven't really paid attention.

I had a Frontier and Thunderer from Cimarron, both were fantastic and totally fun to shoot. I believe the Cimarron is made right here in Texas so I'm partial to these.

Looking on gunbroker that's a fair price. They all seem to run between 450 and 500, most close to 500. At a local shop it's not that bad.
I don't recall how much I paid, I got it new at a gun show but it's been a spell and the mind is weak.
6 minutes to Miller Time or Busch Light in my neighborhood.
