I'll admit I've been away from the forum for awhile and very few in my area carry Kahrs but I did try a search to no avail. My 10 year old P9 has the original flat nose and looking at the KAHR site I see the newer ones have the bevel nose like the CW9's. Just wondering when this change took place. Not complaining though, I love my 1st generation P9.

Hi and welcome back I think the new generation PM's started in 2010 or 2011 if I'm not mistaken. I think the slide is also slightly longer on the newer ones to.

Yea, the first 2nd generation P9 I saw I had to look close to make sure it wasn't a CW9 with that bevel nose.

Same happened to the PM's.

Many still prefer the blunt nose. I know I'm partial to it myself but really have no issue with the new style either.

Kind of muddies the waters when ordering recoil springs but not a deal breaker.

Are you saying they don't take the same recoil spring anymore?

On the smaller PM and CM, the recoil spring has changed, but not on the P & K series.
