My first trip was lack-luster as you may have read in my previous post.
Today was completely opposite. This little puppy was rock solid. Not one hick-up. Todays 150 rounds were flawless and my confidence level rocketed upward. I am stoked!
After the trip I polished the feed ramp, reduced the profile of the mag follower and one final thing I did was used gun grease at all the lube points Kahr recommends as opposed to oil and I really like the way it ran.
Thanks to all who helped me here. I love this little "Bull Dog"!

Good for you! Some people object to the need to file/sand a bit on the plastic follower, but it sure helps.
Glad you have a good running Kahr! http://home.mindspring.com/%7Ejustsomeguy/thumbsup.gif

what is this filing of the magazine follower you speak of? what exactly is needed for the function to work right? are there after market or revised followers that aleviate the problem of this design flaw?
can anybody post pix of before and after work on the follower?
thank you.

This image and the complete description of issue appears in the "Kahr-Tech" section as part of Greg's CW45 (and other poly 45): issues and fixes thread at this link: http://kahrtalk.com/showpost.php?p=15667&postcount=2
Most of the time you will find the answers to your technical questions in the Kahr Tech section and Greg (gb6491) is frequently the author or a strong contributor.
But, it's always OK to ask. It lets the rest of us show off our search skills. http://home.mindspring.com/%7Ejustsomeguy/icon_lol.gif

So what ammo did you use on this range trip?

I used Estate target ammo which is the same ammo I used the first trip.

Great pics and thread, but wouldn't you think quality control and better process(es) would take care of this @ the factory??? For a $30+ magazine, you'd think Kahr would step up!

TucsonMTB, your pix are great, perfectly expalining the area and so forth....but i have to agree with c6vetter, these arent Raven .25acp magazines, for the price youd think Kahr would get it right from the factory....
one thing i prefer not to be is a beta testers.....i owned a K9 and MK9 years ago....because of money i had to trade them off for the glocks i carry now...would have liked to kept them....so when i got the chance to buy a used PM9 i did, only to find that Kahr still has problems with their poly guns....

Not my pictures. Did you read the thread?
only to find that Kahr still has problems with their poly guns....
Every manufacturer has some problems with their guns. That is why Kahr has a warranty and an active customer service department.
Used guns are especially risky because you usually do not have a warranty and have no idea why the original owner sold it.
Best of luck with yours!

so far mine is o.k.
im still waiting on a new and improved mag catch that uses a little more than 1/20" of its catch to hold the magazine in place.....
btw that Greg is something else isnt he....lots of good info from him about these guns. i just didnt think i was going to be getting a high dollar kel-tek.
