I'm considering getting Kahrs 8 round magazine (part no K920) for use with my CM9. Would anyone be able to tell me if it would fit flush, or would it extend out a bit? Any info is appreciated

Thanks
-Ed

Many members on the forum have trouble with the 7 round mags & opt for another 6 round for a spare. The 8 round mag will stick out farther than the 7 round mag.

8 round will stick out pretty good.

Mine runs flawless in my PM9.

I have a PM9 which should be the same as the CM9. I use my 8 round K9 spare mag as my spare carry mag for both my K9 and my PM9. I have shot it in my PM9 a number of times. It works fine. It does not fit flush but this is not a problem for me. I have read someone's comment that it pinched their pinky finger. It does not pinch mine. From kerby9mm's comment, some people have experienced problems with the extended mags in the CM9 but I have had zero problems with any of my Kahr mags. If you know anyother Kahr users who have the 8-round mag, maybe they will let you try it in your CM9.

I have a wonderful CM9 as well .It runs flawless with My 7 rounder .it sticks out a little , no real problem. However depending on the situation Its usually a backup .

Have an 8 rnd for range and backup carry. Works fine but sticks out quite a bit. About the size of a CW.

You can swap out the floor plates with the P9 mag and with a little modification your six round mag won't have that gap anymore. Just leave a slight gap between the floor plate and the bottom of the grip for tolerances when you do the modification.

It would be nice if someone who understands his question could post a photo. A photo of a PM9 or CM9 with a K920 or K920g magazine would be very helpful since I have seen this question pop up before. Thanks!

P.S I would take it but I don't have either of those guns. :(

I bought my first cw9 kahr used with an extra 8 round mag also . I then bought a cm9 and found right off it would run fine with both the cw's 7 round mag or the 8 rounder. So the 8 round mag is always used as backup for both and gets some range use to.

I have a CM9, and carry with the 6rd mag. +1. I have both the 7 and 8 rounders too, just for backup or range use. Neither has given me any trouble so far. The 8rd. extends wat too far for SD carry, the 7rd. could be used but still extends too much for ME to carry for SD, I have seen where others use it though. Take care.

Thanks for posting the photo. It helps those who were wondering how much it would stick out.

No problem.

I think that it might be easier to learn how to shoot and then you wouldn't need more than seven rounds. Just sayin.

There's always a joker!:p What if there are eight bad guys? Or nine?:001_tt2: To answer the OP, the eight-round mag does stick out but I've had no function problems with it. I bought a CW9 before my CM9 and I can use the CW9 mags in the smaller pistol.
