Just ordered some boxes of 45 185gr+P from Underwood to see what kind of velocities I 'll get out of my PM45. Has anyone used this ammo with a Kahr?

I'm ashamed to say I never heard of it.

I hereby declare you are official Kahrtalk test dummy. Perhaps that's a bit rough, maybe test technician? Better?

Let us know how she runs, maybe you'll be the leader of the pack.

Underwood ammo uses Speer gold dots and Golden Saber bullets, their powder mix is different and results in higher velocities compared to Rem/Speer/Corbon you'll gain 100ft+/sec. I think their 185 gold dot jhp +p is perfect for the short barreled Pm45.The prices are competitive. You'll find some postings on U tube :cool:as well.

Underwood is in West Va. and has a good reputation over at Glock Talk.
Most of the guys there use their 10mm ammo because it produces better
performance than the lower velocity major brands. They use Starline brass which is considered to be top quality by reloaders. I have no experience with Underwood but have considered ordering some .45 ACP also. I would be interested in the results from the OP.

I think it's great ammo with a responsible owner of the business. I've used it in 10mm and it's HOT, as advertised. They do use Gold Dot and I think they are a good choice these days at a reasonable price.

Some complainer squealed about something on another forum and the Underwood owner leaped into the fray and made things right immediately.

Ammo arrived this afternoon. The ammo is not a reload but brand new. Their reloads run at 20$ for a box of 50. Now I need someone with a chrono to get the speed recorded. How much do they usually run$$$ ? I'll update on function.

For all p380 owners please check out underwoods 380 ammo, pretty impressive speeds out of 380 bodyguard and over 250lbs of muzzle energy.I ordered 3 boxes of 185 gr+p and 2 124gr+p. All of them have bonded gold dot jhp bullets. The brass is stamped with the caliber designation and +P.I paid 152 bucks including shipping, not bad!:o

Underwood ammo is top of the line NEW ammo that gives you true velocities not watered down stuff like the "big three".

Underwood ammo makes the best and affordable 10mm ammo on the market. others are equally as fast and well made but cost much more, while other say they are fast but fall a bit short in real guns.....

if watered down stuff is no longer palletable to you try Underwood, you wont be disappointed.

Midway and Sportsmans Guide often have Chrony chronographs for under $100. Not the best but do ok for me.

I just spoke to an associate of mine and he has the chronograph. He is about an hour and a half away from me but we will make it happen.

I have used a chrony F-1 for some years. I see they still sell for right around 79.86 with free shipping from walmart to your house . Very basic but works fine.

I shoot mainly 9mm for defence and have been buying from Georgia Arms for some years. There 124gr+P is a 75 cents more for 50 rounds and advertized at 1200fps so it is 25fps slower but I know in a glock 17 it will slightly surpass that 1200fps. and I still get 1153fps avaerage out of my cm9. It also use's the same 124gr speer bonded GD and starline brass so you southern boys watch your gun shows and check at GA site for where they show up and when . 50 rounds of there new 124gr +P is 24.00

Hey CJB, deeply embedded in floridas swamp land sounds like somewhere around Ochopee Fl area.
