So the misses hinted that Mrs. Claus was asking what kind of gun I would want for Christmas (ain't she a peach!)
I have a CM9, P9, and CW45 all of which I love for various reasons.
I think I have in narrowed down to a K9 or a TP45 but I just keep going back and forth. Anybody have one or the other or both that wants to chime in? I know it's a terrible problem to have.

Go for the K9 Elite with NS.
The stainless steel Elite series guns are arguably the best of the Kahr line.
A real Kahr collection is incomplete without one - IMHO.

Are you sticking with Kahr, or are you up for something different that covers a different niche?

A higher cap pistol if you don't have one. The XDm's have caught my eye. Man, that's a good feeling pistol. A Glock? M&P? HK? A good 1911?

Hey, maybe a SHTF weapon! An AR or AK while you still can buy one! Self defense shotty!

Sorry, just suggestions :D

Rather than ask Santa for a new popgun have you ever considered using that money on combat handgun defensive courses? Might be much more useful than another safe queen.

Or a couple cases of ammo.

All valid points, I have a pretty good stockpile of ammo in 9mm, .40, and .45 and a membership to a combat course. I'm actually pretty set as far as guns go, I have Glocks, CC guns's an Ar-15 etc. But the misses is hell bent for leather on buying me a gun for Christmas. I didnt want her to think the gesture wasn't appreciated so I was trying to decide which one would be more fun to shoot. I haven't had a full size .45 gun since I sold my Kimber but I have been intrigued by the all steel Kahrs as well. I narrowed it down to these 2 models because A: I like Kahrs B: I have holsters/accessories for my other guns that I could use on either one of these. I was just curious if anyone had both and had a preference. I'm sure I'll end up with both eventually ;)

That's the spirit Titus. Wish my wife was hellbent on buying me guns for any event.

I'm putting my vote in for a T9 or T40 only cause there isn't a T45 yet, even though it wasn't on you menu. All steel, nice wood grips.

I'm sure you'll find something to make yourself happy and if not, well there's always the next one.

I must say that my latest acquisition, handgun number nine, is outstanding.
Seems like a compact, double stack (13+1), polymer 26 oz gun is my perfect SD weapon.
The Heckler and Koch P30 40 LEM V2 seems like the best of my pistols in one.
Modified with the V1 light LEM springs for a 4.4 lbs crisp pull every-time, XS 24/7 Express Big Dot NS
and Hogue rubber finger grove grips; it's just amazing.
Bombproof, accurate and has double strike capability.

As Jocko likes to say "I'm just saying"

The K9 is one of the sweetist shooting guns I've ever owned...can't go wrong there.

you Sir are in a fine predicament.

if the gift has to be a gun and youre set on all of your ccw and other defensive needs why not a gimick gun to toy with?

How is the recoil on the T40? If they only made a T45 then the search would be over!

Amen brother, amen. 40's are fun but 45's are meaningful.

My 40s have no meaning?
No substance?
I'm adrift in a world of uncertainty...

No need for counseling, I live in a state of confusion and most people can't even tell at a casual glance. I appear normble in a very lose sense of the definition.

Less this digress into a caliber war let me boldly proclaim, I own and love all of the "Big 3" calibers. I have 9's. 40's, and 45's. Their are pro's and cons to all. That being said I've always had an affinity to the 45 acp (millions of Dead Germans, Chinese, and Viet Cong cant be wrong) I have a glock 23 and I dont consider it too much to shoot but it's not as easy as my cw45. The worst gun I ever had for recoil was a keltec PF-9, it was very unpleasant to shoot. The "softest" gun I ever shot was my springfield tactical XD-45. I was just curious as to the relative recoil of the T40 (realizing recoil is subjective)

I own guns that shoot 9mm, 357 Sig, 40 S&W and .45 ACP.
It's been my experience that the platform has as much to do with felt recoil as the caliber.

My T40 has very little noticable recoil......it is actually one of the first of my guns to NOT BE MAGNAPORTED.

Where can you even find a T40, I've looked at all my normal online dealers to no avail and the local gunshops dont carry them either.

And not Green - Right?

The K40 I rented was a very soft shooter too.
Even my MK40 is surprisingly soft for a micro.
Very low bore axis I think.

I forgot to mention a large frame revolver. Something in 629 flavor. Or maybe a single action Colt or Ruger.

Man, I wish I had your problem.

You have the CM9. If you like that gun then you need an MK9 w/wood grips. It's a show gun than can be used for concealed carry. It is really a looker. for belt catty and you can use the CM9 holsters you have, plus they are all 9mm. Whats not like about that? :D Plus your magazines will be interchangable. Pass them around to the gun you are carrying today.

Welcome aboard slotback. Heard you had some issues getting on the boat. Glad that got worked out.

Here's hoping Santa does the right thing for you too.

I'd add myself to the wish list but me just wanting puts me on Santa's naughty list.
