Recently I ordered a P9 slide stop from Kahr's website. First, they sent me what I believe is a CW9 slide stop by accident. I emailed them asking about it, and they promised to send me a P9 slide stop, free of charge. Outstanding customer service, says I. But when I tore open the packaging and looked at my supposed P9 slide stop, I was dismayed to see that it was yet AGAIN a CW9 slide stop. Here are some pictures, am I mistaken, or is it indeed a CW9 slide stop?

Yeah, that's a CW/CM series slide stop.

Bummer. When that kind of thing happens more than once, they probably got the parts mixed in the wrong bin. :(
It's happened at my shop before with parts that looked similar. Now we have stringent checks on those parts that could be easily mistaken for another.

So what is the difference between the two slide stops?

GB ; correct me if I am wrong but is the cw slide stops all one peace MIM and the P or PM slide stops actuay 3 parts..
i. e. slide stop lever, slide stop high proprietary steel pin, and little pin that locks the slide stop in in the slide stop lever. If one will look at the bottomof his slide stop lever he should see a damn near invisicble pin that goes into the slide stoplever andactually locks the high strenght steel pin in place. On the P or PM slide stopsk the pin that goes thorugh the lug will actually turn on alot of the slide stop levers, were as with the CW series, I think this is all one peace..
Most of all the P andPM slide stop levers are now beveled on the leading end of the lever to..
ruchik. I would send this good photo to kahr, attn Jay with your memo to them as to what is going on.. Pictures tell alot here.

I wouln't bother with any more shipping expense. The MIM stop will work fine and looks a little better, being one piece.

From what I've seen, the P/PM slide stops can be one piece or two or three piece, where the hollow pin spins on separate pin swaged into the lever part of the stop. Mine are all 2 or three piece... with fixed or rotating pins... P's and PM's.
