Amazing symbolism....

Obama... the empty chair.

Or, was it a ventriloquist act, with the big-O as the dummy.

I thought Eastwood was GREAT!

MSNBC said it was weird and demeaning. Of course...it was supposed to be. If it would have been Sean Penn, they'd have said it was genius. I think it was great too.

Yahoo:
"The 82-year-old movie legend's address at the RNC was largely incoherent, but entirely unforgettable"

I don't know what they were watching.
But Eastwood was amazing.
The tide is turning my friends.
The future is starting to look bright again.

While I enjoyed Clint, I was far more impressed by Rubio and Rice. The Governor of New Mexico and a former democrat used my exact words when she came to the realization that she was a republican, "Damn". Of course, I came to that realization in 1970, but better late than never I always say. I was impressed by Mitt's speech and think that he has picked a winning running mate. As Biden would have put it, this was a big F'in deal! The tone of the election has been set. :)

Thanks Mugsy for the kudos for my governor Susana Martinez. I was scared to death with them putting her between Rice and Ryan but she did a magnificent job. Oh, and by the way, she packs heat and is proud of it and her CC license and doesn't care who knows it. :D

Oh yeah, no slight to the other speakers. Rice, not the emotional speaker, spoke powerfully none the less. Rubio has more flair with speaking, but was equally as powerful. Ryan went to the plate, swung on the first pitch and hit it clean over the fence, then calmly trotted the bases with a bit of self evident confidence, while waving to the crowd, grinning his boyish grin, making his feat seem simple - because for him it was - and leaving folks knowing he could do that again, any time he wanted to.

Really, the only thing Romney had to do, was not say anything bad, and to look and act Presidential. He did that. He needed to act and speak like the leader of the free world. He did that. He needed to carry himself correctly, present his ideas clearly, and with conviction, and make it appear that he already possessed the power of the Oval Office. I think he did that well, pulled it off cleanly, without any major faults.
