wanting to know what you guys use for IWB appendix carry.
most rigs i see for the PM9 seems to add too much bulk to the outfit.
what rigs do you guys recommend for appendix carry IWB? clip style is fine, i prefer leather but can go for kydex if its the best suit....i want the thinnest rig out there but i dont want some el cheapo nylon job....
pix if you got'em.
thanks.

Silent Thunder II. It is Kydex with an inside leather linning. It retains its shape for 1 hand reholstering. Price around $90 I love mine.

Tucker mini IWB. I started out using a Silent Thunder II, but found the Kydex not so comfortable in the appendix position. Now I use the Tucker Mini IWB and love it! It is more comfortable, tuckable, and conceals my PM-9 a tad better too (I can adjust it to ride deeper). The only down side is one handed reholstering isn't so easy since it does collapse. But for me, it was a worthwhile trade.

I just picked up a Foxx Trapp holster a couple of weeks ago. It's my first full kydex holster and I'm not sure I'm completely sold on the material yet. I really like leather. It is adjustable between canted and no-cant which I like. It's also tuckable which I like. I've been wearing it appendix with my CM9 and it's fairly comfortable.

I'm sure someone will come along that has experience with the PJ holsters. I believe they are even thinner profiled than the Foxx Trapp because they're not adjustable.

The PJ IWB holster (http://pjholster.com/?page_id=37) weighs less than an ounce, yet it is sturdy, stable, has good retention and is so comfortable that it and the gun become imperceptible after just a few minutes. And it stays that comfortable all day every day! :)

I would suggest Dale Fricke for a ZACK holster. This is simply a kydex cover for the trigger with a nylon lanyard to hold the Zack as you remove the weapon from your waistband.
Sounds crazy but I have found most covert law enforcement use a similar holster.
I have one for my H&K USP 40 and Kahr PM 9/40 and use them daily. I find the ZACK or MIC (Google Search) holster work very well. You have the option to appedix carry, 3-5 o'clock carry, opposite carry if driving, ... you choose. Search the forum and I have posted pics of my ZACK holster. It's the best since you will use it and carry your gun everyday.
The best gun is the one you have on you when you need it! Defend your loved ones and your rights under the Constitution.

Where do you tie the string? That has to be the smallest holster in the World.

thats not a holster, its a trigger guard. a holster "holds" the gun and fastens it in some way to your body. "mexican carry" with a trigger guard is not a holster, just like hip-grip is not a holster....

Hey Jerry, I really like the High Noon holsters "Mr Softy" (no jokes please ;p) It is the thinnest leather holster that I have found. I use it every day with my PM9. I also got the tuckable version for NPE. I have used a Dale Fricke Arch Angel but I think it rides a little high and has a tendency of the top rolling out. For EDC, it's the High Noon.

I am leather biase myself. There are indeed many holsters made with THICK leather... but there are also quite a few leather rig makers who does use thinner leather, to name a few (that I have personal experienced with): UBG, HBE, Alessi, and Mitch Rosen.
I don;t think it is appropriate for me to name who use THICK letaher, but you can easily eyeball them yourself.. or ask for the top view picture... (Highnoon website used to provide top view angle for each of their model.. you SHOULD take a look at them, judge for yourself.)
Good luck shopping.

i guess it was too much to have a piece of the holster between your body and the gun near the end of the slide and rear sight....while i dont see this as a design flaw, i see it as the outcome of mass production of crap....make it, get it out the door quick....who cares if the buyer finds out the slide and rear sights dig into them later mentality.....
Biancchi Professional series model 100 which i have for the 3rd gen S&W is great but it is thick leather.....detracting from the thinness of the gun inside....

JFootin.. after months of reading all your posts about pj holsters, I finally broke down and ordered one last week. I like my remora and my mika pocket holsters but did want something tuckable. Looking forward to my new holster and hope it lives up to all your and the others praises. :)

its that "best at 3:30 or 4:00" thing that steers me away from the pj rig.

Well, I bought mine with a FBI cant to wear it behind my hip. I think Paul perfected it to ride so comfortably there. But he will do neutral or even backward cant and whatever ride height you want if you want to carry it more forward. Going back to your OP, you wanted something small and light, and the PJ wins hands down. Talk with Paul about what you need and see what he can do for you. You won't be disappointed.

I make custom Kydex holsters and I have an extra IWB for a cm9/pm9. I'll take $40 for it shipped or I can make one for you custom to your specifications and needs. Here is the pic of the extra I have made

Where do you tie the string? That has to be the smallest holster in the World.
The lanyard goes around your belt. The good news is if you "Drop you gun" it is still attached and is easy to retrieve. I will be hanging half the length of the lanyard. The lanyard length decides how deep you gun can sit inside the waistband.
Use this on a daily basis and find it as comfortable as any other holster. The minimum approach is easy to switch to any carry mode (2-4, appendix, crossdraw if driving, ....). I like the ease of use and KISS principle.
A real benefit is using this for storage as you can charge or unload a gun without the trigger being exposed. I store my guns in a gun safe loaded and do not worry about a snagged trigger.
Some keep their guns near the bed using this "ZACK" and do not worry about sleepy trigger grab. I have mind set up for a 5-10 pound pull to get the gun out. A hair dryer is the only tool used to loosen or tighten the kydex to what works for you.
Lastly, the best gun is the one you have on you. A PM9/40 with this in the waistband disappears. The holster is "tuckable", just get a lanyard the color of your pant/belt and or tuck it behind a belt loop.
