Picked this up last week. Pretty sweet rifle.

I'm looking to put a scope of some sort on this so I can do a little groundhog hunting with it. Anyone have suggestions on a scope and mount? I'd like to be able to shoot 2-300 yards.

YEAH BABY! You're gonna love that one!

Whatever optic you choose, don't skimp. Buy once, cry once. You'll be glad you did.

I bought the Bushmaster with the red dot. Wouldn't work at that range tho.

The rifle or the red-dot? If it's the scope maybe the battery is shot?

The Trijicon Acupoint is great.

The best deal I have found on scopes in years is a Nikon 3-9x40 Team Primos run they did a few years back. It is of their upper Monarch line (confirmed by Nikon and Primos), BDC reticle, fully coated optics, 95% light transmission, fully sealed, shockproof, waterproof. It has some serious light gathering capabilities. Although it was a short run, you can still find them at the price you would pay for a Nikon Buckmaster (~$210). Put some good high rings on it, and it would be awesome rig. I have one on my 30-06.

Found one (no affiliation):

That's a killer deal on a scope that should be over $400.

New accessories. Ended up with a Weaver Tactical Grand Slam 3-10 mil/mil in a LaRue LT104 QD mount. KAC 2-600m flip up. I have a LMT SOPMOD on the way to throw on there as well.

Hog rig set up.

THAT'S a keeper! Looks great! Sighted it in yet? Try zeroing at 50 yds. That has the smallest trajectory arch from the line of sight. Great out to almost 300 yds shooting point blank, no holdover.

Just got the scope Fri and had a busy weekend of not getting anything done that I wanted to (sighting in scope :().

Thanks for the tip.

Now it's time to decide on red dot or holographic....Hopefully I can hold off for a while. These things make ya want to spend money! :D

Exactly. The Improved Battlesight Zero. :84: Right on the money at up to 200 yards or more.

Interesting.

I sighted in my iron sight at 25 yards using this target.

Maybe I should go back and do it at 50....

Thanks

25yd zero will be quite high at 100-200yds, but is back on target at past 300 yds, but drops quickly. As you can see, the 50 is pretty good aiming point blank out to almost 300 yds. I have my AK, AR, and deer rifle all set at 50 after studying each rounds trajectory with all my scopes/sights, height above bore, etc. It's a great zero for not worrying about hold over.

Thanks I'll get the scope zeroed at 50.

Now with my 200-600m adjustable sight will it be high?
