So my wonderful wife bought me a Crimson Trace for my CM9 :) . Any pointers on installation and set-up? TIA.

I have a CT on my CM9, and it's a perfect carry rig IMO.

I would zero the laser with the sights at about <15-20 ft (SD distances), and then take it to the range to finish zeroing it in.

You will notice a large difference in the sights and laser at shorter distances (laser will be lower than sights) and farther distances (laser higher). This parallax has to do with the distance of the laser under the bore and where they meet and cross, which is your zero.

I do not use mine for any long distance target shooting, so I have mine set at about 20 ft. That way I'm usually within a 4" circle out to 40 ft.

Another way to do it is to sight them in parallel. So the impact will always be x inches higher than the laser at any distance.
