Getting a nose-dive on second round in 7 round magazine. Happens if mag is full, only 6 or 5 rounds but not is it has 4 or less. Thoughts? 6 round mag is working like a charm. Hasn't happened before but I have rarely shot with the 7 round mag either.
Checked the spring in the mag...it is correct.
edit: Played with two mags; 6 round mag is stable in weapon...no wiggle; 7 rd mag pistons in and out a mm or two...causes rounds not to feed correctly--nose dive, stovepipe. Anyone know how to stop mag from moving up and down in weapon?

i would ask kahr for a new mag. i would not modify your pistol.

the Ians in tech support will tell you to replace with 6-rounder. Too much play and if you've got large hands, that 'play' can cause rounds to nosedive. Happened to me and I went with three 6-rounders. Performed the follower modification (from Sticky on this forum) and no more problems. Also have to follow pg 16 ... don't slingshot, lock slide back/insert mag/disengage slide lock/drop mag/add add'l round/now you're good to go with 6+1. Kahr should recall the 7 & 8 rounders and modify the 6-rd magazines for better QC. I've learned all of this the hard way.

BTW, good luck getting in touch with anyone @ Kahr. I have been reprimanded for being critical of their "customer service" ... you be the judge.

It's a known problem. I got my PM9 with two extra 6 rounders and gave away the 7 round mag w/o even trying it. As mentioned, get Kahr to trade for another 6 round mag.

Thanks all. Have been pleased so far with customer service. Replaced my original 6 rnd mag that would not drop free and replaced recoil spring assembly when end nut flew away.
