Has anyone compared (shot) the two? Wife and I shot a Bersa 380 (they don't rent a P380) and both of us liked it. She was able to hold both at the sales counter but only shot the Bersa. How does the P380 feel in comparison on the range? Thanks.

I have a Thunder 380 nickel by Bersa, it has a lot of levers, and the decocker/safety has to be moved up to activate to shoot. It also has a frame lock which I detest. They are somewhat prone to limpwristing, don't like WWB ammo.

Otherwise I'm happy the way it shoots, while I still have it that is.

For the size of the Thunder or the CC model, you could move up to the CW or K9, more power and cheaper to shoot. JMHO. I might buy a used CW9 Sunday

Thanks Bucket, wife doesn't like the 9mm. Too much recoil for her.

My P9 has FAR less felt recoil than the LCP or LC9 (IMO the LC9 wasn't as bad as the LCP) I traded in or it. IMO try to find a CW9 to shoot. The CW9 is a little heavier than my P9 so the felt recoil should be a little less. The K9 is 23.1oz vs. 15.8 for the CW9 or 15 for the P9 so shooting the K9 should be a pleasure.

Oh, yeah. Even the P380 has a lot more recoil than any of the Kahr 9s. Kahr is famous for the low recoil on their guns for their low weight, especially the 9s. So, the K9 would be very pleasant for her. You can load it with standard pressure ammo to make it extra gentle.

The Bersa has a sa/da trigger more civilzed than a ppk and is a real kick to shoot. Had a feg pa63 and miss it.

two different beasts.

the Bersa i foolishly let go of was a true work of art. i cant believe they got that much precision and finish in a $200.00 gun. the Bersa is a best kept secret for now.....

The only caveat with th Bersa is it needs to be broken in and also good quality ammo.

My nickel Bersa had a $319.99 sticker on it from Silver Bullet in Wyoming, MI. I got it in trade for a S&W 22A

Usually a locked breach gun (Kahr) will have less felt recoil then a straight blowback (Bersa) since the unlocking process spreads the recoil over a longer period of time.

Is that true? I thought I'd heard people here say the the PM9 has more than the P380.

My Bersa 380 fits my (relatively small) hand like the proverbial glove and is one of my favorite shooters. I can't comment on the P380, but my brand-new CW9 is virtually identical to the Bersa in major dimensions, and the grip shape and angle are very similar (which is to say, it feels great to me). Triggers are, of course, a completely different story.

From a brief range trip (75 rds), I can say that the CW9's recoil with standard velocity 115 gr ammo was quite manageable. Heavier bullets would probably tame it even more.

Sooo, if you like the Bersa, give the CW9 a try.

Thanks all.

bonjorno2, why didn't you want to carry the BT380 CC?
