Hello, some help would be great here.Should I send my Kahr CW 45 back to car to check out or take it to the dealer I bought it from. Here is my problem. When I got my weapon it was a month or two before i was able to get otu to the range. When I Finally did, I had a problem with the slide lock it kept popping out of the gun. I though maybe when I took it apart and put it back together, I did something wrong. This time I followed step by step every step with the manual in front of me when went back to the range. the same issue. slide lock keeps coming out of the firearm. All advice is welcome.

Not an uncommon problem when the spring that holds it in place is not set correctly.

Behind the slide stop is the slide stop spring. That spring does a few functions. First, it holds the slide stop in place. Next, it provides the proper spring tension to raise the slide stop when the magazine is empty (or removed). The tension on that spring is not critical, but must be ok within certain parameters in order to effect correct functioning. It has some adjustment, based on the tension of the screw that holds it in place. Don't over tighten the screw.

You'll see a small groove cut into the slide stop pin, close to the lever. There is a part of the spring that catches that groove and holds the pin in place within the frame. Thats you're problem.

Do a search on the forum here, find out how to adjust it, and you will probably be ok at that point. If not - order up a new spring from Kahr (or request a replacement if within warranty).

(edit, to fix late night nomenclature snafu's)
