I finally got my blackened stainless police trade-in K9 to the range yesterday. Function was flawless with everything I fed it. I did have to drift the rear sight to the left a scosh to move POI to center; elevation was perfect with 115 gr. I think it has the elite trigger because it feels exactly like my CW9. Grouping was satisfyingly small.

This is it as purchased, before I cleaned it up. It may be the best $324 I ever spent.

Sounds like you got as real good deal. How about a pic of how it looks cleaned up?

I bought it from SAW Arms in Mesquite, TX. http://www.sawguns.com/
They had a bunch in several grades starting at $249. Mine was a mid grade ($299 + tax) and they had others with night sights for $349.

Be careful with "old" night sights. The Tritium gas vials have a half life of 12 years for the green and less than half that for yellow/orange. I had my K9's NS re-lamped at Trijicon for $54 plus $5-something to send them the slide. Their price included return shipping... super deal... for Trijicon sights ONLY, though. After 12 years or so my sights had dimmed enough that they were harder to acquire in dim or dark.
Also, be leery of buying NS that have been sitting around in the store for a LONG time. They start "dimming" from the date of manufacture, but it takes 12 years to lose half the glow or brightness. There's a number on the sights... the year of manufacture, but this can rub off over time.

Sweet catch...I've sure liked mine a lot, especially that its all steel and smooth trigger.
