I have been looking at ballistics testing on the cartridge above and was wondering if anyone can tell me of accuracy and reliability of these? I have a cm9 by the way. THANKS

Can't really comment on the accuracy, I'm still working on that myself. But 12 of them feed reliably though my CW9 today at the range. Although, I haven't had any ammo that gave me any issues so far.

I only put 12 through it because the range I go to you really don't have the opportunity to change targets often. I didn't want to put a whole box down range on a single target.

I have found them to be 100% reliable in my PM9.

I carry 147gn HST +P in my PM9 and they never fail, load well and are as accurate as I. For me they are the perfect 9mm SD round.

they work well out of my dept issued G17.

I received a few pallets of it a couple of months ago. I shot some in my CW9 and it did well for me.

It won't slingshot load in my CM9 and it will lock the slide back during the firing cycle by the wide nose pushing up on the slide lock. It chronoed at 870fps. I use the 124gr Gold Dot.

That is the exact round I'm planning to carry in my P9 Covert when it gets here this week. I'm looking forward to trying it. I've also got a box of the +P that I've been saving for something, just don't know what.

Tried some in my MK9 and they ran fine. The 147 HST do have a great reputation.

I have 147 HST (NOT +P), but will be adding the +P to my stash soon. Very dependable rounds in my PM9.

i ran 200 through my cm9 with no problems. I wonder why others are? when they lock back is that after last round?

some of these kahrs seem more sensitive to larger bullets. and some will give premature slide lockingopen. It happens more with 147 grain ammo, not every brand is guilty. Some more prone than others, but again IMO it us usually an out of spec slide lock lever that either needs replaced or slightly modifed kwhich many here do, as it is a simple fix.

I had 3 replaced in my Pare Carry 9 before it quite hitting the slide release lever. If ur thumb isnot the culprit then best start looking at the bullet. a simple test to see if that is happeing is talked about in the propper prepping thread. I would bet kahr vendors out their slide lock levers,so specs are gonna happen...99% are no issue at all..

My CW9 doesn't seem to like the Federal HST in 147gr (P9HST2). It does not feed reliably. It seems that whenever I shoot it there's a stovepipe. I usually don't shoot much of it due to expense but don't seem to have the same problem with GD 124gr +P.

Before I even shot the firearm I tried cycling live rounds of both through the firearm. The GD did fine, the HST 147gr did not agree with the cycling regimen.

Anyone else experience this problem with HST 147gr with a CW9, or, if not, CM9 or PM9?

Runs great in my cw9 and my K9. have shot +p and std pressure, a couple hunnert rounds. no issues, very accurate, the std is very easy recoiling. Steve

federal hst good to go from what i have experienced but i prefer the 147gr win pdx (no particular reason other than what i have read & some homemade tests in a few different calibers).
dont know about you guys but i havent noticed much difference in accuracy within 20' with different rounds in my pm9. they all hold a similar group but follow ups are sloppier & slower (for me) with the +P's. the 147gr had similar(or better) damage and less recoil (and noise) than the +P. i really havent found an "inaccurate" round in the pm9...

New member here, and I posted in the general discussion. I'm having issues with the Federal HST. I'm not able to load more than 4 rounds in a mag, and if I do the PM9 wont cycle. Two of the mags are new.

I have a pm9 with approx. 500 rounds through it. I tried the Federal HST 147 grain. If I put more than 4 rounds in any mag it wont cycle. I've tried new mags also. Any ideas

The HST 147gn +P is a terrific defense round which I carry in 9mm.

But, HST loads in 147gn are big at the mouth and tough for a new Kahr to feed. Once broken in well it should be fine. I polished my ramp and other friction places and it feeds without fail. I also replaces my recoil spring with the next stronger one from Wolf (don't remember the strength) as I did the mag springs. I also shoot the +P to get another 100ft/sec out the muzzle.
