Last week I had trouble with WWB ammo taking a nose dive in the 7 round mag...always the second round in the stack. Never a problem in the 6 round mag. This week with my carry round, Golden Saber 124+P, the 7 round mag was perfect. However...the six round mag, which has been perfect until now (except for a very occasional "pop-out" with FTFeed), started popping out much more. Started out once or twice in a 6 round stack and the last mag full popped out every single shot (have to shove the mag back in and rack the slide to load a round). When I got home I cleaned the mag release shelf on the inside of the handle and took the mag apart and cleaned it (it really wasn't dirty) and inspected it. I couldn't find anything out of order. Could a dirty mag release shelf cause this? Or should I get the new mag release unit I hear Kahr is making now out of metal.
I also have the polymer base plate on the 6 round mag...perhaps I should file down the front part of the polymer that sticks forward. I noticed if I held the PM9 with my pinky under the mag it did not pop out once (only did that for one 6 round stack because it kinda hurt).
For now I'm back to my XD9SC for carry until I can get this sorted out.
Thoughts?
