I was in Dallas two years ago and toured the book depository. From a rifleman's standpoint the best opportunity for a clear easy shot came was when the motorcade first turned onto to Dealey Plaza and the Lincoln was moving toward the book depository. One can only speculate as to why Oswald waited until the limo was quartering away and going down hill to take his first shot.

It was the dudes on the grassy knoll. All a conspiracy. Oswald was just the fall guy.

All that I can say is that for a $15 dollar war surplus rifle with a cheap scope that wasn't properly zeroed Oswald made one hell of a third shot.

yup no doubt ur right there. wold have been more believeabl ehad a Remington 700 with 10X LOeupold scope was found at the scene. b ut that was a real POS gun advertised back then.. Probalby a French war rifle, so it was proably new anyhow, maybe dropped once. Just sayin

My "Old Man" used to build custom sporters based on military bolt actions and wouldn't even consider sporterizing an Italian, or Japanese rifle.

Hehehehe.... this gals name was Donna. Blonde hair, maybe not what we think of for a person of Italian heritage. One eyebrow that went all the way across, till we finally convinced her to have that corrected. Actually, she had very nice eyes. Nice hair too... Once she got rid of the sideburns and mustache she started getting some dates. She was actually a pretty good egg. Her exploits in her one piece bathing suit got her the name "grassy knoll"... (ahem). And, she could catch Florida lobster like nobody's business... the best at providing bugs for the campfire. I think she ended up getting married, moving to the frozen northern wastelands... Minnesota or some such.

My mom was in the grassy park area between Main and Elm St. (Book Depository) and she swore till the day she died that she saw someone with a rifle running across the railroad bridge above Elm St after Kennedy was shot. Guess it could have been a Secret Service dude but who knows. No one ever interviewed her but she called Sheriff's office a couple of times to report it but she always thought they considered her some kind of nutcase.

To my knowledge there were no secret service agents positioned on the railroad bridge.

Little known factoids...

* The FBI tested the Italian Carcano rifle pretty extensively at Quantico and found it to be more than adequate. Oswald did indeed have it "tuned in".

* They shot a slew of pigs to see what happens to the head, spatter, etc.

* They even shot human cadavers for the same reason.

* They had no trouble shooting three rounds in the time given.

* The conclusion was that it wasn't only possible... it wasn't all that difficult.

* No grassy knoll, no storm drains, no overpass shooters.

One lunatic lefty with a poor, maldeveloped personality.

If you want a conspiracy, ask yourself this; How much did the Kennedy's pay Mary Jo Kopechne's family, local law enforecement, local judges?

That was his dirt bag brother Ted, not John F. He shouldn't be smeared or ridiculed by association.

Probably the only democrat I ever liked.

Have to take into account that there are always two reports, one detailed true in house report and one for the press, especially at that level.

I've tried to delete it from my memory banks but it's still a sore spot.

WTF. where are my meds:eek: Nest ur gonna tell me Joe Biden is Obamma's son and that Michell is Opra's sister and that Obamma is going to put a 200% tax tariff on all horse heads sent out of state.

Life is just over for ol jocko. I am a believer, I was a Hales Bopp member and I just went uptown for a cup of coffee that morning, with some of my Jim Jones friends.. and hell when I got back to the compound all my buds and gal buds were dead, like they wanted to be dead even. I have been on Hale Bopp meds ever since. I can't sleep on a bunk bed again and I don't wear tennis shoes anymore:popcorn:

yea I know, I need help. Just sayin.

Last time I jacked the bolt back on my 6.5 carcano, I busted 3 teeth.. Thats when I looked in a mirror and decided I wanted to be a Harley rider..

He did his practicing in the Marine Corp. You think a marine would have chosen a better rifle, but I guess it served it's purpose.
