With luck the photo will be clear enough to see this spring. It protrudes a slight amount from the frame. The other day I noticed mine sticking out almost 1/2". I would have noticed it sooner if I were a left handed shooter; it's sharp. I used a flat bladed screw driver to gently push it back up into what I believe to be the normal position.
Does anybody know exactly what this spring does? Is it normal for it to slide out of place?

I think that is the spring that holds the trigger pin in place. I would soak it with crazy glue then push it back in. I do not think it is normal for that spring to come out.

That's what I thought too. But, according to the parts breakdown on the Kahr site it's actually called a Magazine Catch Leaf Spring. If it come out again I'll just epoxy it in place.
Magazine catch leaf spring is inside the grip housing. I don't know what is. My PM9 has nothing like that on the trigger.

yours has that same little pin. It is not a spring but a pin that locks the trigger pin in place when installed. It should not be working out either but the wide thing to do is take a small drift punch and drive it back in and then keep an eye on it. Oly eposy if it need by. If that pin comes out the trigger pin will basicaly come right out. It is a pressure point on the trigger pin. Mine did that one time and I drove it back in and never had it pop out again.
