I want to know if both the K9 and the MK9 can handle +P ammo without any damage...peening etc. I am considering either the 124gr Gold Dot+P or the 147gr HST +P.

fire away, ur hand will give out way before the gun will ever let you down. Kahr states it also OK. Lets face it unless u have money out the ass , u just gonna shoot +P ammo for defense testing, not ur normal range fodder.. These kahrs are built like a fokking tank..

I use nothing but +p in my K9. Works like a champ.

Long ago the K9 was rated for +P+ ammo. When the weight of the recoil spring was reduced to what it is today (because people complained that the slide was too hard to rack), the +P+ rating was reduced to +P.
I know that some people still shoot +P+ through their K9 without issue though, so even a steady diet of +P should be no problem.

one can still order from wolffs the extrapower recoil springs for the K9 if he so desires.I shoot um in my K9 for everything. Course I ported my K9 so felt recoil is nadda, But that beingsaid if u were to shoot alot of +P+ ammo which iI truly doubt asnyone will, due to cost, I would suggest buying the extra power recoil spring from wolffs...
Kahr Factory power is 20#
Wolffs offers: 20# 22 and 23# I shoot the 22#.:third: Never shot +P+, don't really intent to. Ialways felt ifI wasgonna push theenvelope that much on a9mm round I would just buy the fotay and be done with it.. Just sayin.

How does the 22# work with standard pressure ammo? I've been considering the 22# spring for my P9

The K9 has a more robust barrel shroud than the PM9 and I fire +P in both for defense rounds. The PM9 and K9 barrels are the middle two.
Kahr says ALL Kahrs are rated for +P, but NOT +P+.

Higher pressure ammo will always accelerate wear whether the pistol is rated for it or not.

I have a 22# spring in my P9 and it has performed without any problems.

I switched to the 22# Wolff spring in my previous K9 and it worked flawlessly with standard pressure ammo. It might have even reduced felt recoil slightly although that might have just been my imagination.
I plan to switch to the 22# spring in my current K9 when the time comes.

NATURALLY.
todate never seen any kahr shot out,and unless a company like kahr wants to bench a kahr with +P ammo to see how long it lasts before something goes south, I seriously doubt if any individual will ever experience this kind of wear.If the gun is built for it, it also will stand up to it also. I think it would break ur bank before u break the gun. Just sayin. No doubt the 22 and23#springs would help if u were gonna shoot +P all the time, course 20+ is pretty stiff when u take a glock that is around 13# and they seem to shoot until the cows come home..
I feel the life expectancy on a kahr question is a question often asked , . I don't know of to many people foolish enough like I have with my PMJ9 that has over 32K rounds through it. It is what it is a defense gun that most buy, break it in, find a good defence round and then carry it alot but shoot it seldom. I just love that lil bastard enough to buy anothger sibling just like it. One is ported (my carry peace) and the other so far is not and I can tell the diffrerece. both are maneagable though and not hand breaking guns IMO, course recoil to me never bothered me that much. the kahr K series is a nice and heavy gun, so even 20#springs should be well enough but damn nice of wolffs to offer two other weights, as nuttin ventured, nuttin gained.

It should work just fine. I've got one in my CW9 with no issues.
