Just finished my third trip to the range within a week to shoot my new CM9. I now have 250 rounds through the CM9 with zero malfunctions. I tried federal FMJ, Winchester SilverTips, Horady 147 gr JHP/XTP, Winchester PDX1 +P, and Speer 124 gr +P and all functioned perfectly. Before todays session, I installed the Hogue Jr. Grips and the Pearce magazine grip extensions. This made an excellent shooting weapon even better. Accuracy is very good and the recoil even with the +P ammo is controllable. Staying on target in not a problem. The trigger is very smooth. The weapon fits perfectly in my front pocket in a pocket holster.
I bought the Kahr after buying a Sig 290RS, which was a big disappointment (terrible trigger). Now I just need to buy a few more magazines and I will be set. I also have a S&W Shield which I like, but the Kahr will be my carry weapon.

Great report Sam, sounds like my first range trip from Monday, when I put 250 rounds down range. The CM9 worked flawlessly for me too, I was so happy. Sorry we're so boring jocko, but it's a great feelin' to have a reliable weapon from the get go. Sam, JFootin should be around soon with your CM9 Badge. I replaced my LCP with the CM9 first thing Tuesday morning, and glad I did. Welcome & congrats! :D

Woah you like the Kahr more! Thats good to hear. Of all the newest microcompact offerings that seems to be the most interesting. My friend is seriously considering getting his license, and he's leaning toward the Shield, but mostly because he wants a thumb safety and the PM9 with thumb safety is out of his price range.

I just wish Kahr would fix the damn issues with the 7 round magazine, and I think I've kinda heard a few issues with the 6 round magazine spring. My only other complaints are the trigger reset and 6 round magazine not dropping when you hit the magazine release, but the trigger reset doesnt really bother me.

Reliability is everything, and my CM9 has never let me down. I think the verdict is still out with the Shield being so new, but I've heard good things so far. But the shield is not for me primarily because its significantly bigger and heavier

trigger reset is what it is. U eithger get used to it or???? My 6 round mag never did drop from day one and it suits me perfect, I have yet to ever have to pick up my mag off the ground. There are some helpful hints to fix that mag drop thing if ur interested.

Must say that I've been lucky with my first range trip breaking in my CM9 and not having any issues with factory 7rd and 8rd mags.
Hope that continues.
