They introduced a CM 40 earlier this year. Does anyone think that they will introduce a CM 45?

I'm still holding on for the MK45 after all these years. "Hope springs eternal from the human breast".

Heck yeah. That would be sweet. MK or K I'm in

Long as we're dreaming or planning for those optomistic I'd like a T45 too. But do the mk45 first.

If they do my CM9 will for sure have a new brother!

If they do, it won't be on the California roster. :(

I dont think they will.

The PM45 has a nice little niche as one of the smallest, if not THE smallest 45acp pistol on the market.

Oh yes there will be a cm45. Makes perfect sense..

I'd rather a K45 too, but I'm an oddball that way. For now I'm fine with the CW45 and probably couldn't afford a K anyway.

time will tell. . course the cm40 and the PM9 were basically the same size gun, still pocketable IMO, so that maybe makes more sense than to make a cm45 when we have the PM45, but again neither is pocketable but there is a significiant price reduction between the PM and cm models, so that part might make sense. and again not big changes are needed to go from a PM45 to a cm45, certainly should not ca8se a new production line etc. My money is still on the cm45, but poasably not until the 2013 shot show..

A K45 would be a nice addition, although IMO a niche gun more than anything and certainly wold be an expenisve gun as this would entail everything being new production and I would bet the kahr bean counters would have some say so over that to. If we can't make an sell alot of them and make alot of bucks on them, we won't do it. Just sayin

Market realities necessitate the CM45. I bet we'll see it at Shot Show.

I.e., Springfield's XDs. Kahr needs a price competitor to hold market share.

I think that the market is ripe for a low-cost alternative to the PM 45. In this economy people need value priced alternatives such as a CM 45. This is probably the reason the CM 40 has done so well.

Hey CJB. The pm 45 is the second smallest they are beat by the AMT backup .45 which is much smaller but has an european mag relesase and does not stay open when the last round is fired. I have both and love both. I went with the kahr for the better mag release and the last round open feature. Really wish they would make a mk45 all steel I would buy it in a heartbeat that is the only advantage the AMT has over the pm 45 if you prefer all steel.

is AMT still in business? i havent heard anything in a long time about them. the backup .45acp was a heavy gun for its size and had a heavier trigger pull (on the one i handled years ago).

Thought I would wait it out and see if a cm45 would be announced and made available. Also considered doing a cw45 covert (grip chop) since what I am really after is a little less overall height. Too bad Kahr does not offer that optional service in order to retain the warranty.

Even if a cm45 is announced at the shot show in January, I'd guess it will be another 3 to 6 months (more?) after that before most would have a chance to get a hold of one.

The specs on the cw45 officially say 4.8" for height, but after I add in that non-flush magazine and the sight height, it measures an overall height of about 5.25" for me. Now that is in the territory of the Glock compact models and for me that height is a touch too much except with specific clothing and time of year.

I finally ran across an XDS at my lgs so decided to get it and that resolved the shorter height thing for me. I measure it at slightly less than 4.5" in overall height which includes the flush magazine and the sights. Overall length is nearly the same as the cw45 is, so it is nearly a cw45 covert. It is interesting to me how around 0.75 of an inch in height can make such a difference - but it does for me.

Won't rule out getting a cm45 in the future if one becomes available. I really like the Kahr smooth triggers and the cw45 has been a real gem. However to Kahr's detriment, the impulse to get a cm45 or pm45 "now" to fix the height thing has diminished for me.

They might consider leaking some information to at least keep a hold of the fence sitters like I was. Now if they would announce a covert upgrade option for the cw45 and/or a factory authorized flush magazine option for both the cm/pm45 and the cw45 flavors - that would be a hoot.

that ain't gonna happen, nice thoughts though. IMO if u have a cw454 and it is doing well then go for it, dothe covert mod urslef, buy a PM45 mag and ur good to go. Many here have done the covert mod and none my knowledge have failed to succeed..

Was a little surprised to not see the CM45 announced at this years shot show.

Wonder if the current panic buying mode has changed things for Kahr?

Anyone heard anything on what the Kahr product page mentioning "coming soon" on the CM45 means now?

An email from Kahr states that the CM45 will be available for purchase in late spring to early summer sometime.

Thanks for the update.

Guess I expected that product to be shown in the Kahr website News section on the front page or maybe shown in the .45 ACP product area.

So far had only seen the cw380 mentioned in their news section with the cw380 product showing up in the .380 ACP product area.
