Hey guys/gals! Hope everyone is doing just fine and dandy. I can't complain. :) A nice gentleman messaged me inquiring about my absence, so I thought I would do kind of an update post.
As some of you already know, I've been involved in the Appleseed program for about the past 9 months and have been to 3 different shoots trying to get my Rifleman patch. Well, I finally got it at the beginning of this month. :D A 210 is needed to qualify for rifleman and I shot a 217 and then backed it up with a 219. Now I want to do it with my AR15. Here's a link for anyone that is interested in learning about Appleseed. http://appleseedinfo.org/
The weekend after the Appleseed was the GA State USPSA match. That was only my 5th USPSA match and I pretty much suck right now. LOL Anyway, it was a lot of fun and my percentage point was the hightest so far, so I can't complain. My first two matches, I used a Glock 34, but am now shooting a Glock 35. It has helped point wise because I don't start the match at a disadvantage for shooting minor (9mm). My powder puff reloads are working great in the G35 and there is not very much recoil.
Last weekend, I traded my G26 for a G36 (Glock 1911 :p) and also sold my Lee Loadmaster. I grew to hate that machine after popping several primers. Made me kind of flinchy whenever I pulled the handle. OTOH, my Lee Classic Turret keeps slowly making perfect ammunition. I have been thinking about trying a Hornady Lock n Load progressive. Anyone have one of those and what are your thoughts about it?
This weekend I'll be going to the biggest GSSF match of the year. The Gunny (R. Lee Ermy) will be there. Hopefully, I can do the whole slow is fast thing and get some good scores. At the match a few months ago, I won $150 in a random drawing, but I'm hoping for another random pistol.
I don't remember the last thing I really posted about as far as guns. I bought an Armalite AR10, sold my S&W Shield, and bought a NAA .22 magnum revolver. I guess that's been about it lately.
