Second outing today, about 25 rounds, no problems at all. But this thing is quite "dynamic" to shoot. Kinda jumpy, but not like a PF9. No doubt it's the light weight. But the polymer seems to resonate, like a "zing" in my palm. I've felt it in other guns too.

I need to work on sighting it too. I've never been able to shoot tight groups, but the CW45 makes me want to get some training!

Oh, and sanding down the grips did the trick for comfort. No issues there. I still love carrying this gun, but I'd sure rather shoot my Bersa 45 or K9.

I believe that the Kahr polymer guns perhaps give up a little "shootability" in favor of light weight "concealability".

Just call me sick, I like the cheese grater grips and tightening in the wrist after about 100 rounds. If I get a blister or lose some skin even better. Not that the .45 is bad just different. ;)

Want to feel something strange? Shoot at least 50 rounds of .45 then pick up a Kahr 9mm (CW9 or CM9) and shoot a few. The 9mm recoil is probably half of the .45. You can tell a real difference then.

In my experience, the P45 or CW45 controls the recoil well, but there's no getting around the fact that it still punches your hand.

I use the bike tube grips and hold my thumb down with my other thumb, trying to keep it away from the slide lock and magazine catch button during firing. Those things can hurt if I forget, but I love shooting my PM45. I have no problem with the recoil as long as I keep off the rough buttons.

I have Lucky13's P9 DLC/NS coming in next week and I still would like a P45. That size is just perfect for a compact pistol... K's, P's, 7 CW's.

Try a Hogue or Qwik grip. Neither detracts from concealability and both make the gun more pleasant to shoot.

My used CW9 came with some sort of 'sticky grip' on it... I LOVE them. They aren't bulky like other grips/grip wraps and they really do work. I'm fixing to order sets for my other CW9 and P45.
