I've found a new P380 at a good price but I'm wondering about it's age.
The serial number is RA67xx.
I'm wondering if I buy it will it end up going back to the mothership for for upgrades?

My first one was with NS... ser# RA61xx... arrived 31 March 2010... 11 months after ordered. They started shipping P380s early 2009, I believe.

damn good chance of it. I think they are in the RC# today, look for that, price is nice but reliability is better. I had/have a aRA very early under 250 and it want back.
I like most had to be one of the first go want to have one, u know how it is, like having the ticket to the first crusie of the titanic.
I guess my question would be, where has this gun been the past fewyears????

Good question. The LGS said they received 2 last week and this one is still for sale.
I see the e-mail notification isn't working, again. :rolleyes::rolleyes:

My latest one is RC89xx and it had a bad extractor... went back to the factory... then the magazine catch failed... Kahr sent me another extractor and after the the range trip to test that, the rear sight was loose. I think it's okay... now! I "glued" that back in with Red Permatex thread lock. I passed up three or so others with RBxxx, I think, to get the highest number, so it's still luck of the draw, but Kahr will get it right.
I have two working ones now and they are great little pistols.

Kahr aren't real organized with their serial numbers over the years. It's not like they started at **00001 and never deviated. They do apparently keep good enough records that they can tell you the date of manufacture when you contact them.

The serial # on my P380 is RB75XX. It has been flawless since the break-in period. During the break-in period I had a total of three failures to return to battery which I faulted to the ammunition being used. I've since put about 500 more rounds through the gun with no problems what-so-ever.
