I have not completed the 200 round break in but when I try to shoot the gun it won't fire. I can pull the trigger all the way and nothing happens. If I bare down on the trigger when its pulled completely back it will fire. This seems as if the trigger will not release the firing pin. Any help? I have emailed Kahr and will be calling them very soon.

Welcome to the Board!
Congrats!
Did you read the Manual twice?
Did you clean and lube as the Kahr chart in this board suggest?
Did you field strip the slide and cleaned the firing pin channel?
Do all that and report back. And shoot it like you stole:84:
Do not forget to post your pics or it did not happen!

Billy-- can you elaborate? have you fired anything at all?
Have you taken the slide off yet?

sorry to have to say this but your gun is goingto hav eto go back to kahr, It no doubt has a ouot of spec trigger bar and that is what is causing your issues. Unfixable at home.
Call kahr and ask for IAN and no one else and tell him your issues and that the gun is new etc and he will say send it back, You then ask him to issue a prepaid pick up on your gubn as it is new and you should not have to p[ay to9s end it back. They willdo that. BUT ASK FOR IAN.
Kahr willget it back to you ASAP to.

I have talked to Ian from Kahr through emails. He is saying that I need to send it back. That will be happening. I have put about 160 rounds of remington fmj through the pm9 and it was working great. No jam issues and no misfires. I then picked it up about 4 months later and the trigger seems out of wack. I pull the trigger "slowly" and I feel the tigger stop. I then squeeze a little harder and the gun fires. It is not releasing the firing pin when it should and I should not have to bare on the trigger at the end of the pull. I have cleaned the gun and oiled it like it needs to be. It now does it every now and again. At one time the trigger cam just got stuck and the trigger was loose. It seems to me that the cam and the back of the firing pin needs to be polished a little more. Waiting on the info from Kahr so that I can send it back.

If I pull the trigger very quickly it works. I think it should work no matter how I pull the trigger though.

I have plans to go to the range again on Monday. I will try to finish the break in period and see how the gun acts then.

break in stuff, ur wasting ammo IMO. The gun needs to go back. Let kahr pick up the tab to send it back you should not have to pay to do that. Call kahr and ask for IAN and he will do wha tis right. My bet itis a defective trigger bar. It is all about timing in these guns and if one thing is out of whact, then the rest just follows along "out of whack".
Just make sure when you send it back that you fully explain in detail like u did on this forum what is going on, so the techs know what to look for.

I'm going to the range Wed. to try out my new PM 9. From some of the things I'm reading here, I'm sorry I bought this gun. For 669 bucks you should not have these kinds of problems. This gun should have very little issues with it right out of the box.
...I hope I am not disapointed when I go to the range. If I am it goes on the for sale thread at OFCC, I'll take a small hit on it , no way will I cope with this.
...I hate to be slamming this gun w/o taking it to the range but, I bought a Sccy 9mm new that cost less then 300 bucks and this thing is perfect right out of the box. Sorry for the rant.:(

Give it a shot first. Dont get discouraged. I bought my PM9 a few months ago (my first Kahr) and it was a disgrace for the first 100 rounds. I was very upset after spending big bucks on the gun. Then I joined Kahrtalk. I found that if you heed everyone's advice, you'll have a great 9mm. Take it down, clean it, lube it!!!!! Shoot the first hundred. Rinse, repeat. Shoot another hundred. My gun transformed from a misfiring doorstop to a nail driving champion. I've shot close to 1500 rounds through it, and the only FTF I experienced was when I ran a mag full of a VERY VERY old and nasty bullets. This gun is very reliable, extremely accurate for its size, and in my opinion, is the BMW of guns. It's built to very tight tolerances. You may want to rack it a hundred or two times before you hit the range to loosen 'er up, but if you put a little love into it in the beginning it will reward you BIG TIME. Like I said...its the BMW of guns. Classy, sporty, handles great...but yes, it was expensive. I hope you dig the Kahr as much as I do :D

ur ranting before u have even went out and shot the PM9. I know SCCY owners who have had issues big time, so don't act like SCCY is a flawless gun. Yours might be and that is good, and the same thing will probalby happen with your PM9. 99% of Kahrs are flawless out of the box, Your just reading the negative posts and assuming all kahrs are that way. UR DEAD WRONG my friend. If you have regrets while it is still new just take it back . I will put my PM9 up against your SCCY for durablility and reliabilty any time you feel like coming my way and my little PM9 has 25,800 rounds through it even. Sorry for my RANT!!
I would advise going to the kahr tech section and hitting on the PROPER PREP OF A NEW KAHR. Might save taking it back ....

Like others have said, you hear the bad stuff here. I have a P380 & a PM9 that are great. Pm9 had a few failures to go into battery in the first box of shells. Perfect since then. I want a PM45, but gonna watch awhile for that one. It seems they may have issues.

no problem, not trying to be a hard ass here either, Read other posts with a grain of salt. Some people have issue that the gun needs to go back Kahrs service is the best. Some have issues do tonot reading the manual which there are a few thing you must do with a karh. Some people post negatives, jjust to be posting negatives, be it on a kahr forum, glock forum or what ever. Pretty easy to spot them to. some people post what they read on other forums, so the gossip just spreads. Some people post who have never owned a kahr.
Kahrs are great guns It may seem like reading they have issues but trust this forum 99% don't. U always will read the negatives over the positives. Moslty because those that are having no issues are usually out shooting their guns, and again 99% of all shooters don't even know or care about gun forums.
If u kahr has an issue that needs to go back come to this forum, for advice on how to go about it without reacing in ur pocket. give the gun the 200 rounds to get some of the kinks out of it Again most all kahrs are good to go right out of the box, but alittle pre prep never hurt anything.
Enjoy your kahr and just shoot it like you stole it. We are really pretty good guys here to. except Wynn and Bawanna, U have to watch out for them, they are:der::der::der:

charmincarmens I think that you will love the pm9! With anything there are some production problems that can cause a "lemon" or two but this is a very small percentage. I LOVE my pm9! It is small, very accurate and reliable. I have never had a jam or ftf with my gun.
Good luck Wednesday but I don't think that you will need it. Let us know how it went.
