Anybody using night sights other than the Kahr, if so which brand?
I'm doing as tade and the new gun has no night sights.
I prefer the TruGlo TFO because they have Fiver and Trijicon.

The sights offered on the Kahr website include most, if not all, of the other manufacturer's offerings. The only Kahr brand sights listed there are the original sights shipped with the least expensive Kahr pistols in each caliber.
They gather them together as much for your convenience as anything at: http://www.kahr.com/Sights/Sights.asp Well, yeah, they do make money when they sell them . . .
Oh, and I haven't found any TruGlo TFO sights for any of the Kahr pistols. If you have any influence there, you might put some pressure on them for everyone's benefit. ;)

sights. I can't see how the fiberoptics could ever get damaged in that setup. very nice.

I have these on my M&P .40C, and they are the ebst I have ever used, and I have 7-8 sets of suns with Night Sights,,, the Fiber Optic is awesome in the day and night with light, and in the the dark they are super bright.
I am sending the PM40 slide to Easton for Black coating, I will ask if he can machine the slide to fit the Tru GLo, if he will, then I'm doing it

We will be looking forward to pictures. One of my PM40's has Meprolights. The other still has the original sights. Depending on how it looks, I may follow your lead. But, I will be quicker to modify the sights themselves, rather than the existing dovetails. Please let us know exactly which part numbered sights you settle on.
Thanks!

What kind of site pusher do you guys use?
My pm guns are dove tailed of course, but ive only used the glock site tool for the rear and the screw on for the front. The pms need a pusher for both front and back.
Was thinking of an ashley big dot for the fronts only.

I have a $45 P.O.S. (yes, the anagram for "piece of . . . " not a brand name) that I bought on eBay. It is intended for 1911 rear sights and works well enough for rear sights. It is useable for the front too, but I had to file a little block of metal to match the thin base and the upright blade of the Kahr front sight to feel comfortable using it there. The little block grips the thin edge and leans against the blade to provide a large flat area for the end of the sight pusher's threaded ram to push against.
In my experience, getting the original sight out has been the hard part. If you don't care how it looks when you get it out, wail away with a brass or steel punch and a light or medium size hammer . . . with the slide properly protected and clamped in your vise, of course.
To install them, I usually file the base until it goes at least half way into place so that I can tap fairly gently, just on the base, and gently drift the sight into place. Once I have test fired, I usually Loctite the front sight, often with RED Loctite and sometimes just Blue. They never move after that.
The rear is less fragile, so I fit it a little tighter, use the pusher to move it into place and use BLUE Loctite, or none at all, depending on my mood. It's good to be able to move the rear a little if you need to do some fine tuning at some point in the future. Blue is medium strength and makes that possible.
Now, I should mention that I am so NOT a gunsmith and only "bubba" on my own guns. But, so far there have been no disasters, I am generally pleased with the results, and very pleased with not needing to send the slide anywhere. The first time was scary for me.
If you are well healed, like Jocko, get one of the deluxe pushers like he has. They a between $100 to $150 and well worth it.

Me, I'm poor, hence the P.O.S. model. Your mileage may vary . . . ;)

Good point, I will see if I can mod the sights first. I am sure I can get them to fit, even if I have to put them in the mill and trim them a little, i have set on my M&P 40c I can use for a comparison, i will be on vacation next week so this will take a couple of weeks for me to get a plan together.
IN doing a visual comparison, it looks like the Truglo hang too far over the back of the slide, I don't think it is possible with out moving the dovetail, which I will not do.

TruGlo TG131ST1 meant as a replacement for the SIG #8 sight might work for the rear.

Not sure if this picture is accurate and I don't know where to see them in person. :o
Edited to add: After mulling it over, if I add a set of night sights (doubtful) to my other PM40, I am sticking with Meprolights like those installed on my DLC finish PM40.
