I sent my PM45 in and it took them exactly 2 weeks and 3 days to send it back.

I sent my PM45 in last month on a Monday via fedex and got it back on that Friday... so basically a two day turnaround. I was very impressed with the speed of service.

Thanks for the in-put. The two times I've sent mine back to Kahr, i was back to me in less than a week not counting week ends. Looks like it avareges about a week.

Sent mine in yesterday (Tuesday), they received it at 10.25am today. I am hoping its a fast turn around because I am pistol-less until it comes back.

Should be a quick turnaround. They had mine for two days both times sent in. So depending if they receive by Tuesday maybe Wednesday, you may even get it back same week.

Does Kahr contact you after the repair or when they ship it out? Or does it just show up to your door randomly?

Seems to go both ways, I know Wyn got surprised on a couple of his trips back. I had one arrive without warning at the dept so it wasn't a big deal. A second one I received a notification. I suspect if you request a warning before they ship, they would let you know. Nothing worse than finding a note on your door, we were here, you weren't, will try again next week.

In reading your question again I see it's actually 2 parts. I don't know about the others but I've always received some sort of notification after they looked at the gun. Kind of a this is what we see, this is what we're gonna do to fix it or whatever. It's been a while but I dealt with a woman (wish I could remember her name, I have it somewhere, who was super nice not sure if she was an Ian predecessor or a co worker but she made the contacts and advised of the game plan.

The PM45 was a week with no warning. the P380 was 6 days, no warning. FedEx just shows up with it and an adult has to sign for it.
I just got two 500-round orders of ammo delivered by UPS yesterday morning... didn't ring the doorbell, even though I had a note to that effect on the door. I do have a standing order or permission to leave stuff at the door, but I'm USUALLY here, especially if I'm expecting something... which is quite a lot. But if I'm still in bed or napping... Hey, it does happen... and my wife is out on the back porch (she sits out there most of her "free" time drinking coffee and smoking in the morning and drinking wine and smoking in the evening, when off) and packages might not be left.
I added a second "portable" doorbell for the back porch and want both buttons at the front door pushed.
UPS once reported online that delivery had been attempted and a notice had been left. Well, I had been expecting the package and was sitting at the window where I can see anyone coming and going all day... Hey! I'm retired... and lazy. I had seen no one and there certainly wasn't a notice left.

Do you give your UPS guy a Christmas gift...
Re Kahr service they do not notify when shipped... would be nice to know though so we can expect the valuable cargo.

Good grief, The Kahr return/repair dept. must be as large as the regular manufacturing/assembly section....I feel left out cause I haven't had to send mine back yet.....:hurt:

I was sitting and reading my stack of newspapers dating back to the 21st, when the FedEx van went by... the wrong side of the road. I got my package and AirBill and walked down to the street to flag him down when he comes back around the block -- new guy. It's on the way back... the PM45. Other than exploratory disassembly with my DLT, I was out of ideas and decided it was prudent to return it to the mothership again. I hope this is the last time!
I still have to tinker with the P380 a bit more. I hope I don't remove too much of the magazine catch or the slide lock. If the magazines start falling out, I've done too much and it's time to buy another catch and start over.
