Just wanted to say hello. I'm a new owner of a lnib Kahr PM9 that looks to be just broken in. I wanted to learn more about this terrific pistol. Figured this would be the best place to learn. Oh i was wondering how in which places to oil the pm9 thanks in advance.

Hello, I'm new my self ,been a member for a couple of days now. I really like the site. Lots of good info here.
The lube is covered in the owners manual. Looks to be the same as your Glock. I have a G36 and it's pretty much the same.

Put good wet lube on things that slide and butt up against other things, and your gun will treat you well.

find the kahr lube chart on the kahr tech section. this should be your bible for proper lubrication of your kahr and any other semi. Break it in first by re cleaning the gun, making sure everything is back together correctly, recoil springs on right etc, Properly lubed etc, Now just sit there and hand rack the slide on an empty gun with no magazine about 500 times as fast as u can. This sure helps proper mating of the upper slide to the loweer section without the bang thing and cost..

Read and Reread your owners manual there are some MUSTS in there that you need to follow. Use the slide lock lever to load that first round, indeed, then practice hand racking, but use the slide lock lever. Kahrs states that, so do it.

break in with fmj ammo, forget the expensive defense stuff until the gun is running right, then go to the defense round of ur choice and test for reliability etc.

Kahrs are super guns, but remember it takes two to tango and the same goes with shooting a handgun. The shooter must do his part and most of the time the gun will follow right along. Proper grip etc, . You will find kahrs have a looooong but smooth trigger system unlike any gun you have probably ever shot, so don't expect IMO same hole accuracy. It is a close up defense gun, get good at 7 yards and under, get fast at 7 yards and under and carry it as much as possable.

This is probably the finest forum of knowledgable kahr owners of any kahr forum I have ever been on. They won't hammer you for a stupid question, just a bunch of kahr lovers who don't know any better.....!!!

This is a must read for all Kahr owners and should be required reading for all new Kahr owners and new forum members!

Hi All,
I would like to thank everyone for the Fast replys. I think it's all good advise, I will assume nothing: as per Jocko and go from the start like it has never been fired.

Welcome aboard. I lucked out and found a LNIB PM9 DLC w. NS in January when I was hoping to just SEE a PM45... couldn't pass it up -- the most popular Kahr by far... almost every member has one... or WANTS one!:cheer2:
Pay no attention to those "straying a bit" comments... some guys just don't have much experience to talk about and are jealous. there's a lot of experience and good advice here... for the most part.:p

:D Welcome to the forum and let me state right up front that I willfully participate in the "straying" that goes on around here. Along with some really great info, there are a lot of characters with a good sense of humor. And I am always thankful for a good laugh. So please share with us and I hope you enjoy your Kahr as many of us obviously do.:D

Many of the members on this forum own and love the PM9,myself included. We`re glad you found us and warmly welcome your input and your questions.Let us know how your Kahr does when you try it out at the range. I don`t pretend to know what the others are talking about with the straying references.I am serious about all I say here as they will attest.

Welcome. This forum is a great place to get knowledge, humor, advice, and whatever else you need. Once you buy a Kahr you are in love for life. Good Luck (I used to live in Michigan myself.)
