I recently came across a used Kahr MK40, that was made in 2003. The serial # starts with HA. Is this model problematic? How is the recoil? Please let me know. Thanks

i have a pm40 and don't mind the recoil... I am sure that it's better in an all steel 40. Most kahr problems are ironed out within the first 200 rounds so I am sure it's fine... A spring upgrade is cheap and a great thing to do on a pistol you don't know the history on!

Just curious, what are they asking for it?

I have a Kahr MK40 Elite 03 (2003) myself.
The 3.0" "03" model is the newer model from the older 3.5" barrel gun I think.
Believe my serial number starts with HA too.

The gun is bulletproof.
And being all stainless steel, with a low bore axis, it's very pleasant to shoot.
Also surprisingly accurate at close range.
If the gun is in good condition I would not hesitate to buy it.

tellu, u can't beat this fourm, just look here, this fella is passing on his expert informtion to not buy this gun, and he is even being so kind to want to buy it, so that this POS MK doesn't get out in the market where someone could possably hurt themselves.

U just can't get better members that then, who are always wanting to help a new memer and certainly wantitng to get a bad product off the market.

It just doesn't get any better than that. Just sayin:D:D

being I have been around here longer than most, I do think u should email me where this gun is at so that I can get it off the marekt really fast and maybe save someones life in doing so. I just wanna help:eek:

Not sure I could trust FLBRI but u can certainly put your money donw on ol jocko to take this gun off the market so no one ever gets harmed with it and I mean PRONTO to..

I have a new MK40 that is now my EDC. Recoil is not bad and it is very accurate. It is to heavy for normal pocket carry but is certainly easy to carry by any other method you choose. I personally think that it is one of the best pistols you can have for concealled carry. But that is just my opinion. In that light, I don't think you can go wrong with a MK40.
