Just bought a CM9 for a (semi) primary carry pistol. My first Kahr and I'm looking forward to having a bit more power on tap than my LCP has (at least in the winter anyway). I'll be doin' lots of reading and learning so thanks in advance !!

Congrats on your new pistol! I hope it treats you well, make sure to follow the proper prep thread by jocko and friends and you will be fine. Run into a issue and post up on here and we can help you.I carry my pm40 or cm9 down here during the summer months they aren't much bigger when it comes down to it!

welcoe aboard, u just bought the best of the best. none better, take ur time with it. all questions are answered on this forum, so never be shy. No question on this forum is ever stupid either, as this forum has a special group of people to answer any question.
We actually have some stupid people that are qualifed to answer a stupid question. It just makes more sense that way.. We have a few wise people who can answer a highly technical question, and then we have our super moderator Bawanna, who can answer any question and if he cannot , he simply deletes ur question off the forum as if it never happened.:19:

Welcome. Go through the sticky on new gun prep in the Tech area. It will save you a bunch of time and frustration with break in.

Welcome, Pete. I just got my CM9 about a month ago and I absolutely love it. It has proven itself on the range to be 100% reliable and it is now my CCW. If you find yourself looking for a way to cover the sharp checkering on the front and back of the grip (affectionately called the cheese graters), I HIGHLY recommend the rubber version of Talon Grips. I just put a set on mine after deciding I didn't care for the Hogue grip. The Talon Grips are perfect IMO. Anyway...good luck and enjoy!

Welcome to the forum.
Am sure you will like the cm9. As others have stated, go through the prep procedures and you should be good to go.
The next trick for you now is finding the holster that works best for you. Once found, it may become your "most" carried.

Welcome and congrats!
For some more options: I bought the TractionGrips stick on grips (11 bucks or so on eBay) and they're great. Also use the Hogue Jr. rubber grip as mentioned above, it fits my hand nicely and helps me greatly with recoil management. Was very easy to trim to size too. For holster i use the desantis pro stealth IWB for everyday carry. I picked up a spare 6 round mag and keep that in the front mag-pouch of the holster (butt plate on the 7 rounder sticks out too much for me). Also have desantis pro stealth for pocket carry but only used it once with cargo pants, IMHO PM/CM are a tad too big for daily pocket carry with jeans or similar, but Im sure others have success with it.
Enjoy that little fella, as stated above follow the break in and prep procedures and you'll find yourself carrying it (and probably shooting it) more often than not.

Welcome to the forum Pete. The CM9 is getting rave reviews and very few complaints. I think you made a good choice.

Welcome to the forum, Pete. My wife and I spent about 5 years up there, halfway between Caribou and Loring AFB... until just before the base closed.
Be sure and check out the newcomer welcome and links, and for sure, watch the take down video because there are several ways to damage your pistol and induce malfunctions.
