Very nice deal especially with the holsters. I have both a G19 and PM45 and they are two totally different handguns. I used to be much more accurate with the G19 but with practice can now shoot the PM45 as good or better.

yes, i just decided i wanted something bigger than the 9mm. the covert aint going anywhere its not openly for sale so i thought id try this. i had a little time to just try it with the rem 230 jhp 6 rounds slow fire no prob 6 rounds rapid fire no prob recoil is fine but i fired w/o earplugs and ouch!! 9mm dont bother me at all , i just wasn't thinking. from just this little bit i love it its been a while since a gun made me smile this much. this little bastard ROCKS.:D

Well I'm glad it seems to run for ya. Do get your ear muffs out. I can tell you first hand that deafness truly sucks. Given the choice of legs or ears I think I'd take ears. I could be president if I could hear. Course now that the standards have been lowered I guess anyone could be president.
Do keep us posted on how that smile making beast treats ya. Scoop up that covert too if you get the chance. I'd take 45 any day over 9 but that covert would be a nice running mate.

i hear ya lol. im 30 and have had my right ear drum ruptureat least 20 times due to earaches, my hearing in that ear is about 60% ,i go to see a ent specialist & an audiologist on the 16th hope they can figure it out. but i really do like this gun though. shoots great, before i took it out i tore down the slide polished and cleaned up everything ecept the extractor (just a light polish) and its second hand so no waranty , it didnt have the notch and i wasn't going to pay fore something that simple so i notched it myself, the gun fired flawless so i didn't screw it up ill post pics of the notch soon in this thread .

Glad to hear. It seems the only Kahrs I've seen in person without that notch are the PM45's - and they seem to have most of the issues.
I'm almost willing to take a bet that the slides without the notch are butting up against the flat flange on the end of the recoil spring guide rod, and is just enough to prevent complete cycling of the slide - and causing failure to feed/eject issues.

I'm in the corner having a time out for awhile. I'm not understanding what your saying here and I'm thinking it's best that way. I'm hoping I'm allowed to come out soon, pretty boring in the corner.

Some folks here are a little
It is a gun forum, but to call politics bull - I wouldn't get in that habit. You live in the only country founded on a creed, in fact, our founding fathers said that the past time of Americans should be politics for a reason.
Of course, now this thread is going to hit the wall, go off course, and keep going full steam with this reply :2rolleyes:

Here's a trick.
Field strip, color the notch area completely with a sharpie. Reassemble, rack vigorously a few times, disassemble, and see if any sharpie was removed.
If the sharpie was removed, there's interference there.
Every firearm I've dealt with stops the stroke of the slide with the dust cover itself, not the little webbing between the hole the barrel exits and the guide rod exits.

if it's shooting good. I' d leave it alone. I think we have all found out that a PM45 will notch itself if & when it needs it. LOL.................
yeah but i LOVE working on guns, almost more than shooting them..:)

Yes the standards have been lowered, we have a retard for a president.

I think that the factory notch is a bit deeper from the pics on the notch thread and from looking at my PM9. That said, I think the idea of the sharpie, or machinist's blue, is a sound one. You don't want the spring riding on that section of the slide. It will notch itself, and probably at a bad time. When they notch themselves it usually causes at least a FTF, or FTE. Some say that the piece of the slide that rolls up jams the spring and the slide won't close.
I sent mine back through my LGS because it was three days after I bought it that it started to FTE.

The standard were actually lowered with the one that left. I voted for Ronald Reagan(One of the Best President). Some how I perceiving that people from the other forum are coming here to :boink:
Now going back to the topic at hand.

Take it to the RKBA forum guys. It's there for a reason, use it. It also makes it easier for folks who are here to try to find information to find it - they don't find 1 page of information, 5-6 pages of politics out of the blue, and then maybe a relevant post here and there.
