I am considering this for my p380...the make it with an interchangable paddle for those FLA heat waves when string shorts are the dress.
also considering a kydex OWB by http://www.multiholsters.com/outside.htm
has anyone used this guy..what do you think if these?
its hard when you can't try them on...and I really don't want to develop a "holster drawer"
thanks

I've got a couple of Stoner holsters for my P380. I really like them!

I have the pj for both p380 and pm9. I think it is the most comfortable of the holsters I have used.

jfootin, learning is fine...right now I just want to learn about thses two providers...or their types of holsters...kydex and pda types
I know you and others have lots of knowledge...but want to keep it about these (types for now)....you may not have any personal experience with them and that's ok too
thank you all in advance

Good response.
Anyway, I think the PDA type holster holder is sort of big for the 380, It's a great pistol for pocket carry if you can. If a PDA style holster fits into your daily routine then it might work for you as long as you are comfortable getting to the gun if/when you need it.
I like kydex because it is very thin but for a OWB holster or the larger part of an IWB holster I prefer leather because it is more apt to mold you your body/belt.
I think you're at a good point with what you are looking at vs what you need but it's always good to be open to suggestions as well.
I have a PJ holster, it is nice but I prefer other holsters over it (cm9).

thanks for you input....wish the LGS carried more holsters so I sould try them out...this seems like a gap in this industry and why most people have to go the custom route..and develp a large "holster drawer"...guess I just have to buy them both..test them out and see..really don't think an IWB will work for me....tried one at my LGS...didn't like the way it felt, seemed hard to drawer from...but I am knew to guns and CC..so I guess reading and hearing others experiences and "developing a gun drawer" is part of the process....once I have the holster for my 380..I'll move on to find one for my Glock 17...but the p380 is first
did you review both the links..what did you think?

The PDA holster looks conspicuous to me. Screams gun to those of us who are knowledgeable about carrying weapons, would be noticed by criminal types and maybe some store owners, as well. How many people do you see carrying a large PDA case on their belts? Definitely an attention grabber. JMO. YMMV.
That kydex holster looks like it will ride thin and be comfortable. Personally, I find some kydex holsters have way too much retention, making it very difficult to draw the gun. I had to get the first couple of my PJ Holsters reworked to loosen them up because I would back the adjustment screw all the way out trying to get it loose enough! :o Paul learned how to make my holsters loose enough now! :p The reason I am saying this is that holster looks like it is detail molded for tight retention. It has an adjustment screw and, seeing as how it is made of 2 pieces, maybe you can adjust it enough so that drawing is not too difficult. But if it is still unsatisfactory, don't be shy about returning it for modification or a refund. You might be out a few bucks for shipping, but it keeps the holster drawer from growing.
That said, I have found that good quality leather belt holsters have the perfect balance of retention and easy draw. One clip or belt loop works fine for such a small, light gun. Although the stability of two belt loops cannot be beat.
Sorry to digress. But why not get a bigger gun for waist carry? The reason I suggested the wallet holster is because the P380 is small enough to make that or other forms of pocket carry work without the wallet or lump looking oversized. Here is one you can pick up for just $14.95 shipped and it works great in the pocket or AIWB in the waist: the Stays-Put Ultra (http://www.concealmentspecialties.com/products.html). Just practical to have and not going to break you at $15. For such a small gun, the carry options are many. There are belly band holsters, T shirt holsters, neck chain rigs, ankle holsters, SmartCarry to carry it down next to your junk.
Sorry to stray, but I find the holster search almost as fun as finding and buying a new gun. :D My holster collection only covers the bottom of one drawer because I have sold a few that didn't look like I was going to use, and I am not shy at all about returning one for refund if it is not as expected or satisfactory. I have a couple I need to sell, one or two cheap ones that I just need to trash because I wouldn't accept anyone's money for them, and I have a few that I never use but I like them, so I keep them. LOL!
Good luck on your holster search! And call me if you need me...

thanks for you feedback...exactly the responses I'm looking for...i guess a small holster drawer isn't bad to have, for different types of carry..always good to have a poket holster around for those pocket monents..even it its a few times a year....always good to have a leather holster too..even though I may prefer kydex...since I don't have any 1st hand experience with this..a learning crurve is expected...hence the "drawer" thanks and other opinions and reviews of the sites i linked are welcomed
Don't have either holster. Mainly use a pocket holster, or a Uncle Mikes ankle holster. YMMV.

Yeah, my P380 pocket rides. It is way easy to carry and no one has ever been suspicious of it riding there, ever.
I have looked at other holsters, I just have not found anything as easy as what I carry.
Good luck on the search.
