My relationship with Kahr has been on again, off again, and now happily on again. I carried a PM9 as a narcotics agent in NC for several years that was super reliable right out of the box. It was the perfect tool for the job as it carried the most firepower in the smallest, most concealable package. As it was department owned, had to turn it in when I left NC to move to Fla. Purchased my own PM9 when I got to Florida and first day at the range, the slide locked up about a 1/4 inch out of battery. My LGS said they had never seen anything like it before and they couldn't even get it unlocked. That scared me away from Kahr and I traded it for a glock 26. Great gun but not a pocket gun and harder to conceal. Anyway, been reading about the CM9 and decided to give Kahr another chance. Found one for 399, much easier to handle than the cost of a PM9. Picked it up today and first took it home to follow the prep guide I found on here. Thank you Jocko and all the other contributors for helpful advice. I am happy to report first 100 rounds through without a single malfunction. Fed her a box of Winchester 124 grn and a box Federal 147 grn. Slide locked back after empty magazine every time and accuracy was just as good as I remembered it with my first Kahr. Hopefully, it will continue to be as reliable as well.
