CW9 grip help

So I rented a CW9 today and I loved it the only problem I had was my finger placement on the trigger. When I set my finger it lays at the 1 knuckle (http://i.imgur.com/3k4OM.jpg?1) but as I pull back I need to slide to my second finger pad (http://i.imgur.com/roF5G.jpg?1). Am I doing something wrong or is this an easy fix?

Thanks muggsy that is exactly what I needed. Wish i would have known that before I went would have made the trip more productive.
