I already shared on the forum that I purchased my first Kahr CM9 off Gb. Used gun with approximately 500 rounds thru it by the original owner. Got it on Friday, today was off to the range. 50 rounds Federal classic 115 gr JHP, 50 rounds Federal Champion 115 gr fmj, 50 rounds Speer 147 gr tmj, 12 rounds of Speer personal defense JHP. I gave the gun a through cleaning, following tips in a thread here specific to Kahr. Being this will be my carry piece, I was really looking to test for reliability. My CM9 came with two factory magazines, one 6 round and one 7 round. At the range I split the ammo in half and each magazine got an even amount. As I said before I am a Smith guy. My 4506-1 acp eats any ammo and always goes bang. My 411 .40 does the same. Was really hoping to find that reliability here. I can say now I have found my carry gun, as every round I fired today went off without a hiccup. I racked the slide using the slide stop as Kahr recommends- all perfect, then tried slingshot method to trip the gun up- still perfect. Most importantly to me, the gun has won my confidence. Also felt great in my hand and recoil was not snappy at all, very manageable. Good accuracy and fits very nicely in my Don Hume 715 for IWB carry. I picked up a laser off a local forum and will post results from that later here when it arrives. If I like the laser I plan to get a IWB PJ Kydex holster. I could not be happier with my Kahr CM9!:D

well that is a nice report, IMO the cm9 is the cream demint of kahrs. A real sleeper gun to--for most who are not awareof kahrs. Nice report,. that is alot of shootin in one session to.

Now I recommend u throw a half dozen snap caps in with 30 rounds and let another person load the mags for u, to see if the gun TRIPS u up also. It certanily will show shooter faults, like jerking, or anticiapting the bang thing when u hit that snap cap, plus it then gives u the TAP, RACK BANG drill to priactice on.

It fills the 9mm pocket gun niche nicely.

I flew through the 200 round break in without a hitch.

Now the CM9 is an all day everyday riding in my right front pocket.

I can't give my CM full marks because I've got a number of similar guns... Glock 26, XD 9 subcompact, Kel Tec P-11, Kahr CW 45... currently I shoot all of those more accurately, but even the Kel Tec is not pocketable.

The trigger pull on my CM is smooth, but too heavy for my tastes. Interestingly, my CW 45's trigger is noticeably lighter and feels as good as any double action I've ever shot. I shoot the 45 really well, 5 shot groups at 50' consistently under 6" and many under 3".

I consider 5 in an 8" circle at 50 ft good so far with the CM.

All in all, I give the Cm 4 stars... Not bad at all for a $389 pistol.

Nice to hear such good reports. Sounds like my range trip with my new CM9. Now, like you, my favorite carry weapon. Has replaced the LCP as my 24/7 carry gun in R Front Pocket or at 4 o'clock in an IWB PJHolster. Congrats & enjoy! :D

Ferrari, do like most of us here have done and order the 5 lb striker spring from Wolffs Springs. It will lighten that trigger.

I did fail to mention that the first owner did just that in my CM9, trigger pull feels quite nice. I do recommend it.
