Yeah, that's my next, and hopefully final, gun purchase. But I want to keep mine simple. Iron site upgrade, sling, and larger magazine. I swear, that's all I need...

I particularly like the 10/22 Barrett with the muzzle brake! LOL.

This guy has way too much time on his hands. But hey, it looks like he does good work.

A little overdone in tacticool for me, but that's the beauty of those 10/22's. You can make them anything you want.

That is very fun! I like the whole idea of dress up kits for 10-22. Why not?

I hear ya, my 30 year old 10/22 has worn a scope once or twice, but for most of it's life I've had a Williams peep sight on it. I've got an old "Hot Lips" 25 rd. magazine stashed for it somewhere, but I almost always use the original 10 round magazine that came with it. My spare is another Ruger mag I found while out hiking with my dogs in the desert. :)

I do like simple, but I also agree "why not?"...and I have to confess there are a couple of bullpup 10/22s I would love to have:

Yeah, that one is about perfect. I have one very similar but currently has an old Leupold 3x9. But, as inexpensive as they are, what a great thing to dress up.

I have one in that vintage too. Its worn many stocks but its currently in a Boyds laminate thumbhole. Too much on that original post for my taste. I do like the first bullpup stock greg linked to. It looks pricey, high quality.

I had my mini 14 in a bullpup for awhile bit the trigger linkage was plastic and just icky.

That's one of the many pluses of the 10/22, you can do so much with them. Those are a little to much tactical for my taste but to each there own. I've got a newer carbine model with a 2X Tru glow red dot on it that is pretty darned accurate. I also like the 10 round mags but have to admit there are times I like to rapid fire shoot it with a couple 25 rounders in it also. 10/22s are just a real nice inexpensive little rifle that you can have all types of fun with.

this topic remindes me that I need to sell the crappy Rem 597 and make the switch to the 10/22.

I have had that little Remmy for years and it been a PITA!!!! I get it running for a bit and then the next time out nothing but FTE/FTF's...maybe I'll get off my duff and start the .22LR "upgrade"
