came back from the range today w/my p380..shot 100 rounds...seems when I'm using the extended mag..sometimes on round 3 or so, the round does not go into battle, and the slide stays open..I drop the mag, re-insert, rack the slide and all rounds fire...seems to happen one round in every other mag(extened mag only though), only one round..and only with the extended mag? 6 round mag loads every time, never an issue?
any ideas or suggestions?

check to see if the magazine follower is getting alittle stuck by te ag release. This happens around round 2/3. Easy test tocheck out, see the kahr tech section under propper prepping of ur kahr. tells u how tocheck to see.
Ubought the P380 for concealment, I would give up on the extended magazine and just send it back and ask kahr to excvhangeif for a flush fit mag. If u don'thave confidence in the magazine, then peddle the magazine, but take 5 inutes tocheck out what I suggested. Who knows??????

I for one wasnever fond of etended magazines. If u shoot that at the range, tha tis OK but an extended magazne willgiveyou a different feel than the flush fit, as one more finger might have some place towrap around. This is ai defense gun, train the way ur gonna ultimately carry.
I hope the 380 ontinues to do well with the flush fit ag, as IMO the kahr P380 when it is right, is simply the best 380 on the market, nuttin close IMO..

Do what jocko suggested and see if Kahr will swap the extended for a flush mag. All you'd be out is the cost of shipping your old mag to Kahr. That is unless you really want the extended mag.

I also think it's the mag. I never use extended mags in any guns, even to the point of using seven rounders in my 1911's.

I'm glad I got a P380 before they started shipping them with extended mags. I don't like the look of extended mags in any gun.

didn't know they were doing that even...I agree flush is the way to go. one buys a 380 for deep conceament, so why have anything stickng out. Might be OK for rangeuse but for one round difference, ur grip changes on an extended magazine over the flush fit one, so for me I shoot the way I carry...

did take a part the mag and "serviced" it..we'll see....if it doesn't work, I'll call Kahr and speak with them about a swap.....never planned on carrying the extened anyway...maybe buy a flush on anyway..always can use an extra 6 for the BG/range

I called Kahr to swap the free extended mag for my CM9 with a standard mag and they wouldn't do it. I crushed the little finger of my right hand in an industrial accident and the vibration in the mag when shooting is very painful. I purchased another 6 round mag as a spare. If anyone has a use for a seven round mag for the PM/CM9, PM me. You can have it for the cost of shipping.

Bummer to hear that muggsy. I know I was able to make the swap as did others on this forum. Seems to be hit or miss with CS giving a go ahead for the swap.

back from the range, 150 JHP and 20 SD HP's..the reg. mag shot fine never a hold up..even shot some SD ammo, JHP...no prob.....the extended mag...had some falures to load...the round didn't get stuck? it just wouldn't chamber...dropped the mag, re inserted and it fired fine??? happened around round 2-3..but didn't always happen, seems it was one hold up every other mag?....no real prob. at the range, and will not be using the extend mag for cc anyway....but I may call kahr just see what they say??? maybe they'll exchnge it? any ideas?........other than that the p380 was perfect.....like it shoud be...great to carry too
