1911 Mags in CW45

A local gun shop owner told me he was using 1911 mags in a CW45 and they worked fine except for the Wilson Combat mags. A friend who has a CW45 says the 1911s don't work in his CW45. Anyone else tried this with success?

My CW45 works with1911 mags. It will not lock back when empty on one of them.
The magazines have not been modified .
Each gum may have different tolerances.
