Just figured I would share a quick photo of my new Soda machines (Soon to be custom gun safes). Since I had so much luck with the couple I've done in the past, I figured I would keep it going. Plus they are fun to build. I will post more pictures as I finish each one. ( Im working on the far right machine now, Just wrapped up tearing it down)

Looks like you got a few winter projects all ready to go. Those look in real nice condition.
Great idea. Wish you weren't so far away. I'd dig having a Pepsi Safe.

I'm sure it's out of my price range, but what do you charge for one of those gun safes?

Neat! That concept raises all kinds of possibilities for hidden safes. How about a fake water heater? It might look funny to have two of them, but I bet most burglars would not question it if the thing had pipes coming off it an such. I wonder what else sitting around a house could be disguised and not look worth investigating to thieves...

I've put my guns in the oven before.
It's not a safe. But not likely to be checked out either.
An oven converted into a safe might be a fine idea.
Like us guys use anything but the microwave anyway.
I've been in my apartment for over five years and never even turned on the oven - LOL!

I have been pondering this same idea for a while now, I had thought a water heater might be a good idea, but I don't really know what the inside of a water heater looks like or what's the best way to cut it open, where to put the hinges, how much space would I have etc...
The stove idea is worth thinking about, but you would be limited to handguns only, someone else mentioned a washer or dryer.
I did see a very nice reel to reel machine that someone converted into a pistol safe and it looked awesome. I have asked a couple members of my family to keep and eye out for something else that can be used. I would like to try my hand at something different. If anyone has any suggestions, please post them.

It would be great if someone building a house or a big garage would use a pop machine as a door to a hidden gun room. Just frame it in a couple of inches inside some drywall.

Now that would be a super idea right there.

That's a cool idea. Whatever you do, make sure the hidden safe is not something that would be valuable itself (like a reel-to-reel might be). If you live in a large house where you could have two built-in ovens and not look odd, that would be a good idea for handguns. Hidden crawl space/attic doors in floor or ceiling would work. Large book shelves that swivel away from the wall.
I like the soda machine idea. Looks cool and has a hidden secret. Too bad you couldn't rig it so that you push the button for Diet Pepsi and get a Kimber, and push the button for Dr. Pepper and get a Colt revolver. Lol. Dispense-a-gun!

I knew a gunsmith several years ago that had a lot of guns in his house but did not have any safe that I knew of. He simply field stripped all of his guns and hid and stashed the parts in different place all over the house. He knew where all the parts were and it only took him a few minutes to reassemble them.
