post pix of yours if you have one....

im a big bore small gun sucker, what can i say. ive been burned twice by bulldog .44 spls in the 80s-90s....trips to the factory and still was junk..... but im still enamored with the concept and really like the taurus 445 mini (not the 3" K frame guns).

i have a PM45 im struggling with....great concept gun but thats it so far for me. the classic bulldog .44 spl (aka son of Sam gun)....is my favorite.

so, post some pix of your C.A. bulldogs.

Target Bulldog

That's some .44 Russian there with it. I bought quite a bit sometime back because the price was right and found I like it in the Bulldog. It has a little less recoil than .44 Special and ejects easier.

The original Charters in any caliber are excellent guns. The first of the lightweights and quality on a par with Smith and Colt. Well worth owning. I carried an Undercover for years in the '70s. Still have it.

Anything not produced by the original company I personally consider junk.

Excellent guns? Er..... I was there and beg to differ.

Then again, if the Bulldog .44 was good enought for Son-of-Sam, its good enough for me!

yawl made me remember i have one in the safe. i carried it as backup when i played cop back in 70s. i had to go look because its been 20 years since i've shot it. no rust looks good. i was pretty acurate with it back then but i did a lot of things better back then

The '60s and early 70's guns? Yeah, they were good. I liked mine a lot. LW, reliable, accurate, and great sights for a that era J-frame size gun. Plus they handled abusive handloads pushing into +P+ territory with nothing more than eventual frame stretch....I was a whole lot younger and ammunition stupid back in those days.

In addition to the Target Bulldog, I also have an Undercover and a Tracker. I've found them all to be serviceable firearms: to wit, none have failed to function and have always fired when the bang switch was pulled. I've no problem with carrying one of mine for self defense and have done so on many occasion.
