yep, just got my 380 back form kahr, it seems the first time out with the gun,"I" craked the frame....3 weeks later a new frame...great

took it out to range, shot great..bring it home to clean..and the flange crackes off...when I posted it on the board here no else had this happen to them
called Kahr monday morning, spoke with Ian:9: he took the info, and said a smith will call me by the end of the day, I sent them a pic of what it looked like.....at 4pm..no call, called him back..voice mail...so much for truth....he doesn't sound happy when I spoke with, very abrupt
at 11am today I get a call from Jason at kahr, he said he reviewed the email, never heard of a flange breaking "on the 380"...he said they will send me a new one..but could not send it over night delivery:(....he was very nice on the phone

so I have experienced 2 issues with this gun...one on day one, the other shooting day 2....I hope this is it..I like this gun and want to trust it for CC, but don't want to have it repired every month

ok venting to my friends here is over

I don't think that your P380 likes you very much.
You can send it to me and I'll make sure that it has a good loving home (in my pocket).
Heck, I'll even spring for the shipping. LOL ;)

funny, but if things continue to go south with my "little friend"...it may be up for sale or trade.I do like this gun, it is perfect in every way....I hope reliabilty is one of them now :)

fedex came today..4:08pm...we were not home..I'm not sure why they used fedex, with signature required for rod? the USPS would have been fine to fit in the box..gotta go to fedex tomorrow morn. to pick it up...or be home monday between 9am and 7pm :(
range on monday :)....I'd rate the CS, initial response fair(who you speak with)...one I spoke with the "smith" it was great, 2 day delivery...I'm ready to CC this gun..but now I want to put to another 200FMJ rounds through it and 50 SD rounds w/o a hiccup first...that will be 1000 rounds..almost time for a new set of springs..2000 rounds, is that right?

re: spring
i think kahr underestimate the quality of their springs by a very large margin... either that or they like to advertise their springs alot... lot lot...

Stuff happens... weak metal failures and such. That seems like a first, though. My P380's had their problems, but all is well and I love them for light carry and around the house. Loaded with +P Buffalo Bore 90-grain Gold Dots, they are fire-breathers and I'm confident they will do the job.

Sorry to hear about the guide rod on your P380. Especially since I just bought one for myself!

Unfortunately, what you & I consider more serious than a mere inconvenience - the loss of use of a defensive gun - is not their concern. Hopefully, it's not your only defensive gun. That is one of several reasons why we have a whole selection of CCW guns.
