I didn't clean it, although I did take it apart and wiped it down. It was clean, but over oiled. I also hand racked it 400-500 times. I only put abot 50 rounds down range. I really need to get some extra mags, I'm used to my 17 round Glock mags, and I've got seven of those. I never have to reload at the range.
My CM9 shot great! No jams, slide locked back every time, and the recoil was fine. I'm very happy.

Welcome to the club! I too recently purchased a CM9. Mine doesn't mind being run "wet," But I've heard it's good to keep oil away from the striker assembly. Hopefully this community continues to grow as people realize what a bargain the CM9 is.

You made a great choice! I just got my CM9 a little over a month ago and I already have somewhere between 300 - 500 rounds through it. It has been 100% flawless from the very first shot. Two things that really surprised me about it: The accuracy and recoil management. I sold a Kel-Tec PF9 to get the Kahr. I never had any malfunctions with the Kel-Tec either, but it was a lot harder to shoot. The recoil was pretty bad and the trigger made it tricky to shoot well. In comparison, the CM9 feels fantastic. That buttery smooth trigger pull makes me a lot more accurate with it and I don't even notice the recoil.

+1 for me. I need a pocket carry for summer. I moved up from a S&W Bodyguard 380. The CM9 is a little heavier and thicker but the difference in the trigger and shoot-ability more than make up for it. Not to mention 9MM is a better / cheaper round. I like the CM9 so much that I've ordered the PJ IWB holster and believe the CM9 will be EDC even in the winter.

I picked mine up over a week ago now, maybe two weeks but I've lost track of time. I've only had a chance to put 150 rounds through it, and it was so perfect that I've been carrying it ever since even though it's not completely broken in. I absolutely love this gun. Still need to get a holster for it, but since it's winter and I gotta wear a jacket all the time, I've just been putting it in my pockets for now. I've got plenty of time to get around to ordering a holster.

Starbug,
PLEASE be careful carrying that pistol in your pocket with no holster. Even a cheapo pocket holster is better than nothing. At the minimum you need something to cover the trigger. Wallyworld should have something really cheap and acceptable for the short term.

I don't keep a round chambered for that very reason, and I do have something covering the trigger. I can just see me shooting my foot off, otherwise.
I gotta contact PJ about a custom holster. I've modified the slide release lever so that it sticks out in the same manner as a Beretta 92's slide release. I just can't get a good enough grip on the flat styles. So PJ will have to cut a groove/opening going up the holster to allow it to clear the kydex. This is the biggest reason for my delay in ordering a holster, I had to wait until I was finished with my little mod.

Starbug, in the mean time you could pick up an Uncle Mike's in the pocket for about $10. If you ever need that weapon I doubt that the bad guys will wait while you rack a round.

Good point. Off to the gun shop after work tomorrow....
Welcome I'm from the beautiful state of North Carolina. I'm a newby too & Posted earlier tonight regarding decision to purchase LC9 or CM9? Fired CM for first time tonight. Trigger was superior to LC & first 50 rds were flawless but, its a tough decision for me. Concealment & comfort while carrying very important to me. Look forward to hearing more form Kahr owners over the next few days as I plan on making purchase the first of next week after a weekend on range with the two weapons.

1R26, You already said the CM9 trigger is superior. Well, IMHO, the CM9 is superior to the LC9 in concealment and comfort. Good luck with your decision.

How exactly did you modify it. I'm really curious.

Starbug, I just wanted to mention that you might be waiting a while for a PJ holster. I think he must be getting really busy. Mine should be here today or tomorrow which will make it only a few days shy of a month since I placed the order. In the meantime, you should check out http://remoraholsters.com/No_Clip_Holsters.html
They're fairly inexpensive, very comfortable, and the same holster can be used as a pocket or IWB. They aren't custom to a specific gun so your modification shouldn't be a problem and it will ship fast. You'll probably get it within a week.
