Ok..here we go..I do not like the plastic base plate on the CW 40 mag
1. can I get a metal replacement ? If so where (looked on Kahr's site..nothing)
2. I have been reading about the CW 45's useing a 1911 officer mag with some modifications, how about a 40 1911 mag ?
ALL OF YA'LLS HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED...

Here are links to the steel base plates:

I don't have .40 cal Kahr so i can't say definitively, but my guess is that they are not large enough to accommodate 1911 size magazines. Perhaps, Springfield EMP magazines would work (looks like they might be too long: http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=244983 ).

1911Texan, I got your PM about my CNC machined baseplate and sent you one back. I will end up making one to fit .40 cal Kahrs but it may take a while before its ready. A friend tested on his two PM40's and they didn't quite fit. :(
