Don't know how the cops that did this found the time. Considering so many were caught on camera looting with the rest of orleans trash. democRATS never let an emergency go to waste, and what better time to show their true colors on the 2nd Amendment.

It's funny that you posted this. Just yesterday I happened to run across a bunch or youtube videos posted by the NRA about what happened in New Orleans after Katrina. Only the criminals had guns. An long time inept in competent local government that not only failed when the citizens they needed them but actually caused harm. FYI, I'm not blaming local LEO. There needed to be leadership at the top.

Hey, Les Strait if you're listening. Do you remember what law enforcement said after the tornadoes hit and leveled Tuscaloosa? It went something like "citizens need to arm themselves because the local law enforcement won't be able to." There wasn't a lot of looting and murder there was there????

No, there wasn't, LOL. The sherrifs told several people that were staying with the remnants of their homes they needed to be armed if they stayed. One shotgun-toting gentleman caught 3 looters on his property, and I think they peed their pants. That's about all I heard. This is in NE AL, but pretty much the same mentality across our state. Except in inner-city Birmingham, where more idiot liberals live.

The good news out of NOLA after Katrina was the police overstepped their authority. Unfortunately, that doesn't/didn't help those folks, now or then. It did, however, set a precident for departments across the nation on what they can and cannot do during an emergency.

And I can't tell you how many "Katrina" firearms have come into the store. Most are beyond help as the owners just let them continue to rust. A few have been worthwhile.

I know what you mean. When I left there several years ago I didn't leave anything I would need to go back for.
