Personal opinion forthcoming. I would choose PJ but if that holster looks appealing to you I'd go with the Garrett Silent Thunder. Adjustable, leather lined and cleaner and less bulky looking.

The PJ would be far less bulky and all one piece without the rivets and joints.

Frankly that one doesn't appeal to me in the least. If could fool me and work fantastic but looking at it I'd keep on looking.

Ok I am about to buy a PJ Holster. My belt is just a hair over 1.5 inches wide. Do I chose 1.5 or 1.75 for belt width on his order form???

He'll probably get right back to you but I'd ask him. If it's a hair over I'd personally order 1 3/4. To me better too loose than too tight.

He'll probably make you one 1 5/8 if you ask. He aims to please.

And I would imagine the clip on loop may be a pain to get off if its too tight also. How is yours Bawanna? Is there any kind of gap in there?

+1 to this
Paul is a great guy to work with. If you email him the exact thickness of your belt, Im sure he'll make it just right for ya. You can also let him know if you want a certain cant or anything specific. I had the old style without the larger sight channel, and asked him how to fix it. He responded quickly and said either send it back, or heat it and stretch it slowly with a pencil. ( I did the later to save on shipping) Hes always been super helpful, and quick to respond. I love my pj holster (even though I havent been able to wear it out of the house yet... stupid government gonna take full advantage of their 90 business days to get my permit to me)

I didn't do a precise measure but ordered 1 1/2 for my 1 1/2 belt and it works fine. Easy on and off. I agree bonjorno that a little big shouldn't be a problem.

+1 to all the guys replies. We all know how well the PJ works. And we all know how Paul will do anything to meet your needs. The FoxX holster has a couple of advantages: adjustable cant and tuckability. But usually once you set the cant you're not going to change it again. The PJ can be ordered tuckable and Paul will set the cant however you want it. The FoxX is definitely going to be a lot more bulky. With the leather backing, it will probably be comfortable. But when I am carrying my CM9 in my PJ IWB holster at about 8:00, it is so comfortable and so unmovingly stable that I simply cannot feel it there or feel the mass of the gun when I move around. I literally have to reach back there and touch the gun to reaffirm I am carrying it. There is simply no way you can improve on perfection!

Well since you put it that way JFootin I feel really good about my purchase! I ordered the 20 degree cant as well. I was going to go with the 15 degree FBI cant but after some research I think the 5 degrees is going to make that much more of a difference in comfort!

Yeah, the extra cant might help when drawing from behind the hip, too.

I have three gunbelts and two are 1-1/2" the other is 1-1/4" PJ's 1-1/2" over the belt clip works fine with both belts. My gunbelts are 1-4" thick and his standard clip fits perfectly and is the easiest on and off holster I have ever owned. Kahr PM9, Shield, and S&W 340PD.

That is really good to know! I had a kydex holster once before and it was a pain to unclip it from my belt once it was on. I can't wait to get my order from Paul! So far its been one week today! Two more to go! :D

I'm strongly considering ordering a little foxx as well. I like leather backed holsters, I have a theis which I like but it feels bulky. I wish the little foxx had adjustable ride height. A silent thunder as mentioned would fit my need except its more expensive (say double) and leather lined kydex is going to be thicker. I have a pj by the way. It's a fine holster.

I have a Foxx Trapp because I didn't like his leather. It was rough and felt like 60 grit sandpaper against my skin. I do like the Foxx Trapp though.

I have a mag holster from foxx and I agree, the leather is rough, and thick! The harwell holster in another thread looks like a better attempt at the same design.
